Perfect for added storage in my carport
I live in a condo with a large carport and only had a small outdoor closet to store garage/attic type stuff. I had been paying $120 per month for a 5x8 storage unit and was trying to find a way to use the extra space in my carport to eliminate that expense. I live in the PNW and did not want metal because of rust, so the resin units seemed to make the most sense (especially with the easier assembly). I saved on delivery charges buying on Amazon over Home Depot/Lowes, and the base price was about the same so happy about that! I was able to open the box (VERY large and too heavy to lift) at my front door and then move the individual pieces over to my carport for assembly. I put this together by myself in about 3 hours (mid-50s active and average size female). I am not going to say it was easy, but it wasn’t as difficult as some other furniture I have assembled. I was able to follow the instructions with no problem. I would recommend having a partner to help, as I probably could have built this in half the time if I had some help. But it is doable solo if that is the only option. The hardest part to do alone was getting the screws into the proper holes connecting the roof pieces to the walls because you need someone to push the roof piece down outside while someone else is inside screwing them together. I had to find something very heavy that wouldn’t slide off the roof piece to keep it pushed down (I used my beanbag weights in a duffel with a grippy rubber rug mat to keep it from sliding off). My carport asphalt is mostly level so I did not need to build a foundation for it. It would probably be a good idea to do that regardless, but it will work building it on flat asphalt or concrete. I did have to move it slightly to make sure the floor was flat enough (otherwise the doors will not work right and the integrity of the wall joints will be compromised). A few months later I am very happy with it, through many days of rain and some intense wind. I have enough heavy things inside to keep it from blowing away in the wind, and I have it installed on the edge of a covered area. It is mostly protected from the worst exposure issues outside and I do not have a problem with water leaks or being musty inside. I am storing things like Christmas decorations, camping equipment and other items in boxes made to protect from moisture and bugs, and I have a few toolboxes and extra wooden dining chairs in there. So far so good! In 6 months thing thing will have paid for itself with what I am not paying for extra storage, and I am quite happy with it! I can also take it with me if I move. Overall very satisfied and I highly recommend for the type of situation I needed to deal with.

Relatively Easy to Assemble, Roof Screws A Huge Pain
First things first - our shed did NOT come with the "roof brace" metal piece. We do not live in a high wind / bad weather / snow area so it wasn't a huge deal to not have this, but it was discouraging to spend $300+ on a plastic shed that didn't come with all the materials. The brace basically is some extra part that helps further secure the roof to the walls and adds some stability to it by adding some additional structural enhancement to the already strong plastic roof. I could see not having this as a problem if we expected our shed to be covered in snow or out in "the wild" instead of just sitting under our rooftop eave against the side of the house. After construction, we didn't really notice any stability problems so we decided it wasn't worth sending it back or asking for a replacement part. Anyway, this is a very solidly built and easy to assemble plastic shed. Everything snapped together very easily and you could tell that the Rubbermaid brand put the extra effort into making it all fit together without any goofy extra bits of plastic you needed to cut away, or the tongue-in-groove stuff didn't fit properly. My biggest complaint was the method for securing the roof to the walls with screws. The roof overhands the walls, and it leaves a gap that you're supposed to used the screws to attach the roof to the walls. The problem is, the included screws have a head that's about .2 inches bigger than the gap provided. So you need to lift up the roof a little bit to give enough space to insert the screw heads, which often throws off the whole plastic slot-in-slot arrangement of the structure. Literally, this would be no big deal if the heads of the screws were just a tiny bit smaller. Instead, you have to like use some sort of glue or putty to attach the screws to your screwdriver otherwise they'll fall out as you try to navigate them into the gap to attach the screws. This little part was by far the hardest part of assembling the shed. Added at least 30 minutes to the overall hour long construction simply because we couldn't figure out a way to get the screws into the wall/roof without them falling out. Also, pilot holes with a drill are your friend, use them for everything and drill straight through the plastic. Once it was assembled it was fine. The doors originally looked all janky and not lined up, but by the time we put the shed in place, levelled it out, and attached the door equipment it was all lined up and looked great. The shed is NOT entirely waterproof, you can still see daylight between some of the joints, but if you elevate it over the ground and make sure it's all securely fastened it'll be fine. I wouldn't store precious linens in it outside without a tarp. We're using it to store closed plastic bins that offer their own sealed protection in case the shed leaks and we're fine with it. Only complaints are that it should be probably $50 cheaper considering it's really just 8 pieces of plastic. But it went together quickly, and looks like it'll be a fine shed for some minor storage in our environment.

Cushion Storage
**2 Year Update 5/20/2022**: Still going strong! The shed still looks just like it did when we set it up. The addition of the L-brackets and sliding bolt lock in my original review appear to have prevented any warping that other reviewers complained about. The shed hasn't discolored or faded at all (it gets full sun from sunrise til about 1pm) and has never leaked water. The cushions inside still look new and have been well protected from the elements in between use. Now I'm considering a second Rubbermaid shed to hold our grilling and extra gardening supplies! We needed a cross between a very large deck box and a small shed to store our outdoor cushions in during rain or off-season. We have a *very large* concrete seat wall that uses an enormous amount of outdoor cushions - way more than a typical patio set. I read reviews both here on Amazon, and on several big box store websites, for different lean-tos, XL deck boxes, sheds, etc. Most have relatively high reviews, but it seems like all are plagued with complaints about durability or warping, or poor assembly instructions. In the end, we ordered this 5 x 2 Sandalwood Rubbermaid Shed because it fit the dimensions we needed. I read several previous reviewers comments about the roof warping and effecting the closure of doors, and we have mediated those concerns by both installing some small L-brackets to the front of the shed (not the doors but the small bit before the door hinge) and the roof, and we have also purchased a sliding bolt lock that a previous reviewer posted a photo of (ours not installed yet). I am hoping these two amendments will prevent the roof from warping and keep the shed in top condition. We installed on a level crushed granite surface, on store-bought pavers. Install was quick and easy with two people - maybe 1.5 hrs tops, with the second person only helping stabilize a couple times. In my photo, you'll see the shed easily fits 8 seat cushions (48 in L x 18 in D x 3 in H), 16 back cushions (20 in square) and 4 lumber cushions. We are actually getting a 9th seat cushion and believe that will fit also. We put a few pieces of wood at the bottom to keep the cushions off the ground, just in case of a high water (although this shouldn't be necessary since its already raised on pavers). We didn't see a lot of light inside when we stood in it closed, assembled, so we did not add any silicone to seal it. Our shed is housed somewhat by the roof overhang, but not completely. I will update the review for durability after a full Summer season of cushion storage.

Prep your site for success, Nice easy Build
The shed was delivered within 30 minutes of the selected time frame, box came a bit beat up but after inspecting everything, all pieces and parts were intact and included in the box. As other reviews said, we took the time to level the ground and lay a base to place the shed on. This took much more time then actually building the shed. The shed build with 3 people (hope you have great friends like I do) took less than an hour. All connecting pieces fit together easily, and all drill points matched up well. Instructions were easy to read and there is a video on YouTube if needed. My take on the shed, while it fits together easily and “well” I see a couple of small points where the roof sits where I see day light coming through. While I Do not think the water proof integrity will jeopardized it just may be an entry point for bugs and bees/wasps which I may fill with foam to secure. I do not have the shed anchored but given it’s location in my yard I did not feel the need to squeezed between two fences and very little wind impacting the area. With nothing in the shed, I can push it around and move the whole thing so if building in an open area I would absolutely recommend anchoring. In terms of it being secure against theft, it’s plastic. If someone wants in they will get in. Do not rely on this product to keep items “secure” from theft. For 5’x6’ I’m surprised with how big it feels on the inside. I believe the space it provides will be adequate for what I need it for. Overall if your expecting a plastic shed, which is easy to build and just to keep your things dry and out of the elements I believe this is a good choice.

Poor product/quality & service
This product fell apart after 2 years. The roof started to melt and warp.. the door doesn’t stay in place any longer and almost fell on my daughter when she touched the handle. Apparently the warranty says that- “ This warranty does not apply to product that has been damaged as a result of acts of God, including, but not limited to: wind, hail, storm, tornado, hurricane, heavy snow, ice, blizzard, flood, or fire effects. This warranty does not apply to product that has been damaged as a result of structural parts and components not supplied by Rubbermaid being used. This warranty does not apply to "Normal Weathering". "Normal Weathering" is defined as exposure to sunlight and extremes of weather and atmosphere which will cause any colored surface to gradually fade, chalk, or accumulate dirt or stains.” So the product that’s suppose to protect the equipment inside is melting from regular sunlight. Due to the warping of the roof, water runs in and all my tools are rusted and damaged. But the product description says : “ • Shed won’t rust or rot providing weather-resistance all year long, unlike metal or wood sheds • MAINTENANCE-FREE: Dent and leak resistant, this shed is designed to stand up to harsh weather conditions and stay looking good, year after year” Which doesn’t seem to add up because it allows water to enter and barely holds up to sunlight. As the roof is warping. Now the door won’t stay in place as well because the roof can’t support it .. I would look else where for a storage product ..

Great smallish shed!
I honestly don’t know how anybody could say anything negative about this shed. If you’re ordering a resin shed, you have to know that you’re not getting concrete block. Yet the materials are sturdy, my handyman put it together in under 30 minutes. Seriously. Under 30 minutes by himself. It’s plenty big for my purposes. I needed to get pool supplies, a generator, gas cans and some garden tools off of my back patio and out of sight. I picked up some easy to put together plastic shelving at Lowe’s to organize a fan things- locked it up and done! I live in South Florida, where we have very hot summers and always the threat of hurricanes. We’ll see how it holds up, and if a storm is coming, I’ll have to figure out how I’ll secure it. But as for right now, I could not be more pleased.

Decent not great shed for the money
The shed is sturdy, made from heavy duty plastic. It goes together fairly easily, except for the doors, which are not well-anchored and very easily pop out of the hinge-holes that allow them to pivot. The doors also don’t fit well into the frame, so you have to force them closed at times, which increases the frequency with which they pop out of place. Easy to restore, but it’s annoying. To hold the structure together, you use steel screws that you screw into and through the plastic. I recommend you do drill (or nail) pilot holes; otherwise, the screw tips end up sliding on the plastic without entering the plastic, so they don’t hold the pieces together. Also, the screws that hold the roof onto the back wall are inserted in a gap between the bottom of the roof and the top of the wall. I suppose maybe this inset location helps prevent water from entering the shed, but it’s terrible design for assembly. The gap into which the screws are inserted is very narrow - extremely difficult to insert your fingers in order to hold the screw so you can begin using the screwdriver (at least it was for me - maybe my fingers are just too big; I’m 6 ft and 240, but my fingers are not especially fat). To use a drill you will need a long-shafted screwdriver bit; the drill head will not fit into the gap. Maybe a magnetic screwdriver would work : I do not have one so was unable to try it. Be advised that if you assemble this shed in sunlight, then the dark-colored roof gets exceedingly hot very quickly. You will burn your flesh on it if you’re not careful. The instructions are pretty good, with a couple steps that are unclear as written but easy to figure out. It comes with hooks for the inside walls that will allow the hanging of a peg board - peg board not included. All in all, it seems useful for storage, despite the doors, but could be much better. Maybe worth the cost if it’s on sale.

Three Stars
After the assembly the shed seems to be somewhat shaky and not very stable.
