its a dark Charcoal grey...almost black, not grey

Does this mat move around on medium pile carpets?

Our mat is placed on tiles and never moves about I would imagine it would be the same on carpet. It’s a great mat and very hard wearing.

How thick is the mat?

Looking at it I would say the thickness is only about 1/2 cm it’s very easy to clean/wash ideal for what I need

I had my mother over for Christmas and bought this mat because I have a puppy who was not yet 'dry' indoors and the various pee mats would have been a tripping hazard for her but I wanted something down in case he had any accidents because of the rubber backing. I have 2 of them side to side in my hall and entrance to my living room. As the rubber lays flat all around it and is heavy there is no edge to trip on. She tends to shuffle rather than walk these days and there were no accidents tripping wise.
