I’ve already repurchased this twice—it’s become a staple for me. I travel to Japan every year, and this tea honestly brings me right back. I always miss drinking it when I’m not there, so having this at home is such a nice way to recreate that experience. The roasted rice flavor is a game changer—it adds a warm, nutty depth that makes the tea incredibly flavorful and comforting, not just your typical green tea. I also think it’s totally worth the price, especially compared to my local Japanese grocery stores, where it tends to be marked up quite a bit. If you’re a fan of Japanese teas or looking for something a little different, I highly recommend this.

Ito En is a very popular Japanese brand with a long history as a tea product producer. I was genuinely surprised how good this tea was even its in the tea bag form. Trained with a Japanese tea ceremony I’m very particular when it comes to the green tea. What makes this even more flavorful is the addition of the matcha. If you are a tea lover I highly recommend this especially if you love matcha. Tea bag is very convenient, too.

So i did not expect this to be so good! It's fresh good aroma and smooth. It is a little pale in color but I just want to stretch it out as much as I can and get the best value for my money. So it's a very refreshing drink. 9 out of 10

This tea is great. We are big fans of all the matcha green tea options. My husband says this one tastes more like a true Japan experience. . I was asked to do a campaign where I promote this product specifically. Since, I actually drink it, I was happy to! I had to purchase through Amazon to participate and it showed up smashed... thrown into a little envelope that's not designed for what I ordered. I had wanted to take a photo with the box because of it being a promotional item but it's too smashed up! I would encourage this company to promote through your own website and ship things correctly. I canceled my prime a while back because I've ordered products that arrived leaking which Amazon did replace but it's the hassle of reporting, replacing, etc. So I'll continue buying the tea in stores or on their own website! Thanks for high quality matcha!

For years I drank the Ito En Traditional green tea with matcha, but it has lost its flavor in recent years, not sure if they are cutting back on the matcha powder or what. but it just tastes like green tea now, which I don't like. I tried this as an alternative after having the same style (matcha with toasted rice) once from Traditional Medicinals, and this is much better than the Ito En Traditional. Wonderful flavor. I am using up my Traditional ones by putting one bag of that and one bag of this in a large mug. After that, no more Traditional. I have tried other Genmaichas from Amazon but none taste good other than this one.

Love this tea. If you like Japanese green tea flavor, you would love this. A bit expensive though.
