How well does this stand up to heat? I’m looking to make coasters and I need something that can handle a cup of coffee

I'm not sure how it would handle heat. It's fantastic on canvases. And even on vases. But I know you would need to let it cure really well or glasses and cups would stick to it.

Can this be used to seal permanent marker (Sharpee type) on vinyl?

The Sealer Spray solvent may react with the ink and cause it to spread or smear. Test first on a scrap piece of vinyl to ensure you get the results you seek.

I am spraying this as a finish on a stretched canvas with acrylic paints, but don't know how long to wait for next coat?

Must read- Tips for using!

I paint as a hobby/therapy. I’ve been using this sealer spray for YEARS. If you paint rocks or wood use small amount when doing the first two spray layers! Then go heavier on the third spray layer. If you don’t go lightly at first it will look bubbly and runny. Also only use paint- NO MARKER because it will run and look bad- on wood it will spider web. This spray is expensive but it works well when you know how to use it. It smells bad but goes away after drying. I spray my items In our garage or outside- I wouldn’t use it in the house.
