Color Changing LED Pool Light with Remote Controller, 54W 10 Inch Pool Lighting for Wet Niche, Underwater Swimming Pool Lights for Inground Pool, 50 Foot Cord

I replaced my halogen Hayward pool light with this one. It fit perfectly within the 10" hole and the brightness is pretty good. I must admit, the LED is not as bright as the Halogen but it's definitely bright enough to light up my kidney shaped pool. One of the best things about this light is that it comes with the remote. I initially purchased one that didn't have the remote and that was a big issue for me. The controller had to be placed under my diving board so turning on the light was a task. I had to return that light for other reasons and I'm so glad I got this one with the remote. The controller is placed under my diving board and the remote works perfectly. I don't have to remove the diving board to get to the controller because of the remote. Unfortunately, I've only had it approx one month (8/9/2023) so I can't speak to longevity but it's working great thus far. One last thing...the other light that I purchased, I returned because I couldn't trace the warranty info. They said it came with a two year warranty in the description but they didn't send any warranty information on who to contact if there were a problem. I immediately returned it to Amazon and bought this light as a replacement and the remote set it apart.

Beware, the red doesn't work. I worked with the seller and they sent me a new control box however the red still didn't work and after sending them the photos this is their response:"Dear customer,Thank you for your update and for providing the attachments.Based on the images you've shared, the red LEDs do appear to be functioning normally. However, it is essential to understand that the red light might appear weaker compared to the green light when submerged in water. Water has a strong absorption effect on red light, which can result in the red light being less prominent in the pool or spa.Rest assured that the pool light is working correctly, and the green LEDs might seem more dominant due to their higher visibility in water.If you have any further questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to us. The media could not be loaded. It’s always been my opinion Hayward and Pentair products are way over priced. I’ve owned one of each over the years and both crapped out with very little usage after 2 years. This light is an LED version of a typical Hayward or Pentair pool light. Installation was fairly simple by my electrician. This light far surpassed my expectations. It is incredibly bright (see video) and the pre-installed “light shows” work fine. Other reviews mention that the red light is not as bright as the rest of the colors, but who cares. This light is still brighter than my Hayward that crapped out after less than a year…and almost $1,000 cheaper. Highly recommended. The remote is nice to have, apparently there is an app for this according to other reviews I’ve seen, but I did not see it referenced in the instructions.

My adventure started with a failed 25-year old underwater 10" halogen lamp. Impossible to replace original bulb type, and impossible to get water tight gasket back into it. So decided to look at this sealed LED system. It's lightweight, extremely bright, low voltage, easy to wire and has amazing remote, memory and customer service!! My goal was to have a light unit that I could program my choice of color, brightness and effects program and then turn off the main power to the light using a smartswitch, and then the light would turn on an sundown with my choices preset. When I bought the unit in July the memory feature had not yet been programmed in the controller. The newer units that are being shipped should have this function (if that's important to you as well), and Fuzhi-US took full responsibility. They immediately acknowledged the unit I had received did not yet have that memory feature but the newer release then in production would. They apologized, refunded my purchase price and a few weeks later, when it was produced, they shipped me the updated one, which is what I am now reviewing.The unit comes complete with a remote control, 12-volt power supply and controller, which I show in the attached pictures. There is only about 15" of cable from the controller to the 120-volt power junction box - in my case enough to mount the unit on the wall directly behind the junction. I show the open junction so you are aware (as other reviewers have noted) that the unit is color coded to non-USA standards - their brown is hot (USA is either red or black), their blue is common (USA is white), ground is green or green/yellow). I cut the old lamp wire off in the pool and tied the new line to the old - the old is the white cable, I twisted together several of the wires to the new black cable for pulling through the conduit, then tightly taped the cables together (see pictures). Took just a minute to pull the 50' through to the junction box and twist connect to the 12-volt controller.Light is very bright and the colors look great. Please note the red is dimmest, all the others are very clear and bright - see pics of blue and green in my 10,000 gallon, 24 x 14 pool, light is in middle.The Tandanic comes with 3 ways to control - they provide a remote control (you'll need a A23 12-volt battery, not included), OR the transformer is a controller, OR they have an app for IoS or Android. I used the Android app (see pictures) and it works fine but please know it is Bluetooth, so only works while you are in local range of the transformer/controller. Besides 6 color, they also have programmed fades, flashes and multi color effects. The app includes those plus a few other features, additional preset colors, and a color wheel to select any color you desire, and a timer to turn the system on and off. Again note this app is bluetooth, so only works when your phone is near the system so won't turn the system on/off when you are not there. And that's why the memory function was important to me, so I could use a timer switch and have the system turn on/off from the power main ("Alexa, turn on pool light").My only areas for improvement was to have a longer lead cable from the transformer to the junction box, and the included pool light mounting screw was metric which doesn't match my Hayward wet niche. So save your screw when you remove the old lamp housing, you may need it if you're not metric based.The vendor was HIGHLY responsive my my Amazon Seller messages, extremely supportive and easy to work with. Knowing the time and geography differences, they were quick to reply, courteous and made things right quickly. That's important when dealing with an overseas purchase. I am confident if anything happens in the future, this seller will stand behind their product.

Purchased unit in September 23, 2023 and now unit is full of water and not working. For the price less than a year seems to be an issue.

Installation was pretty straight forward EXCEPT the wire colors were not standard so it took a little figuring to get them matched up correctly. Light worked as expected via remote, but when switching colors on the control unit, it was giving incorrect results on one of the color buttons. Contacted the seller via Amazon and they helped us trouble shoot the issue. It was quickly decided that the control unit was at fault and they shipped us out a replacement at no cost.The light is plenty bright when compared to our previous 500 watt incandescent bulb. We love that it uses FAR less energy and that we have the ability to change colors as well. Should be a fun addition to nighttime swimming.I wouldn't hesitate to purchase from them in the future.
