If you use them a lot, glue the rubber tips on. I don't know what I'd do without them.
These things are great for attaching to safety glasses, or at least the type I wear. I even hot glued a plastic "u" shaped bracket to my 3m full face clean air mask so I could use one on it too. I'm 73 and cannot see up close anymore and these things work in so many conditions. You can also slap them onto a pair of reading glasses and get some super magnification when needed. I find anything over 1.5x to be too much to walk around wearing them flipped down. But that's just me. Be careful... x power and diopter are NOT the same thing.

Not as sleek as the ones that come with their safety glasses, but still great.
It's great not having to keep two different pair of glasses with me, one for reading and one for eye/sun protection. The magnification is about equivalent to a pair of 2 to 2.5 readers, so go by the diopter rating for determining actual magnification relative to readers. I don't know where the 1.5 power comes from, as I can see much clearer up close with these than any of my old 1.5 readers. It's nice to just be able to flip down a lens versus swap glasses on my head, as my work is never all up close, but I frequently need to read or examine something nearer than I can clearly see at age 50. I originally purchased the safety glasses with a similarly detachable flip down magnifier that Carson sells on amazon, and loved it so much, I wanted to add one to my sunglasses too. This fit the bill. Though, be careful, as the way the price frequently doubles, depending on the day, it could be more cost effective to buy the one that comes with a pair of good quality clear safety glasses instead. This is a full lens magnifier, just like the one that comes with their safety glasses. The lens is a little flatter, and looks a tad cheaper made at first, but I suspect it's intentional to ensure it fits a wider range of glasses. It certainly works just as well. The clip on part is a bit easier to use, but it's a little bulkier than the one that comes with their safety glasses and doesn't open up quite as much. As such, I found the one that comes with their safety glasses more adaptable to safety glasses that have a thicker brow or use foam padding around the rim to keep out dust. These are very light weight. I can easily forget that they're attached to my glasses. I don't even feel like I need my glasses retainer strap for the glasses to stay up on my nose. The only problem I've come across is when mowing, they'll catch overhanging branches and get ripped off my glasses, which I guess is better than if they were attached so tight it pulled my entire glasses off too. This is a REALLY terrific product from Carson, that oddly I've never seen in stores. I'd definitely recommend these without reservation to anyone who needs readers to use with safety or sun glasses.

Useful but a little clumsy
I get a lot of use out of these flip-up lenses; they sure are handy to me since i don't have bifocals. No question that they make reading and some close work a lot easier, and they're convenient to carry around. My only real complaint is that the clip doesn't quite fit perfectly on my glasses - but I'm not really going to take any points off for that because I know that it must be exceptionally difficult to design something that is truly universal, and I'm betting that 85% of users aren't going to have the same problem. Also, I should note that despite daily use - and being more-or-less carelessly tossed into a tote bag when I'm not using them - I haven't had any problems with scratching.

CHEAP FRAGILE JUNK
I have had numerous pairs of these glasses and they are al cheap junk. If you drop them once they break in half. This has happened to every pair I have purchased. They are extremely fragile. I would look for glasses with a stronger framing. It would be worth the extra costs. These are another example of the garbage coming in from Communist China. STAY AWAY!!

Great help for aging eyes
These Carson Optical Clip and Flip 1.5x Power Magnifying lenses are the answer I was looking for to help with my drawing and painting. I love doing highly detailed artwork but once I passed 60 years of age, my eyes just couldn't focus in on tiny, fine details. I tried a much stronger pair of these clip-on magnifiers but they were much too powerful. I could only see if I was within about 4 or 5 inches of the work and that was much too close to allow room for my brushes or pencils to maneuver. I tried these 1.5x power magnifiers and there are just perfect! I wear bifocals and these clip-on lenses make my distance prescription an excellent mid-range focus for working at arm's length on a painting or drawing on my easel. They turn my reading prescription of my bifocals into a slightly magnified view that is just perfect for working those fine details at a natural distance. I thought I had to give up my favorite kind of painting but these little miracles have given me a new lease on enjoying what I love again. Their optical quality is top notch. They are easy to clip onto my regular glasses and they flip up out of the way when I don't need them. If you do work or hobbies that require crisp, up-close focus, these Carson Optical Clip and Flip 1.5x magnifiers could be just what you need. Try them for yourself!

ABSOUTELY PERFECT!
I wear inexpensive 3.25-3.50 OTC reading glasses which suit me just fine for everyday use but need extra magnification for reading and working on the computer. I've purchased several others which in comparison were fussy to clip on, didn't flip up easily without coming off and didn't fit onto my glasses closely. After the last ones fell apart I decided to try these as they looked sturdier and the reviews were good. PERFECT! They're very simple but well made, flip up easily, the lenses are large enough to cover whatever style or shape of glasses I'm wearing and the 1.25 magnification is more than enough for my needs. Definitely a good buy and I've added them to my Amazon wish list so a second pair will be added to my next purchase.

Could be better!!
First - scratches easily. No anti-anything coating - just cheap poly lenses. Second - they snap down under spring force, so they only have two positions: up and all the way down. The down is at a 10degree angle - not ideal. A better pair would have smooth friction and stop where you want. Third - they're heavier than they could be - not as heavy as metal framed ones. I feel them on my nose - a lot. Unfortunately I could not find anything better that was reasonably priced in the 1.5X power. Gonna return them when I do - cause I have a nice scratch right over my left pupil from spending an hour in my pocket on my glasses.

Good
My dad got these to magnify his pottery while he paints it. They work really well! They clip on easily and stay in place. The design makes more sense than some that is just a solid piece. They fit him fine.
