Very nice starter kit.

My daughter loved painting the bird house, but when we put it together and hit the wood with the hammer to hard it split very easily by the nails. We also dropped it once in the hanging process and a piece of the roof cracked off. So the wood is just too brittle.

I bought this both as a bird house and a craft project. I had loads of fun painting it orange and blank for my Giants! The bird house is thick, nicely built, and the perfect size for the birds I want to attract. One side opens to a plastic slide, so you can peek in if you'd like. When it's time to clean, the plastic just slides out allowing you complete access! Perfect for my project, looks great!

These were quick and easy to assemble. They might be a bit under the recommended size for bluebirds, but tree swallow will love them. I assembled the first one with just the nails and it was apparent that it was not going to hold up, so I reassembled with a bit of wood glue and it is now solid.

Kids had fun decorating and a bird did nest in it.

We are so very happy with the quality of this house & have had birds nest here the last two seasons! We just watched five baby Northern Bluebirds enter the world! The house is built well & a great size.

Grandson & dad did this project together and have it in back yard. Great value for money, easily assembled

I recently assembled a DIY birdhouse kit and found it to be an enjoyable project that resulted in a well-constructed little house. The components were high quality and the included plans were straightforward and easy to follow, likely optimal for a child. The pieces fit together neatly and the pre-drilled holes made assembly intuitive. Included nails were appropriately sized and you only require a simple hammer and a table or deck to put together. I appreciated the thoughtful design that included a rotating side piece for cleaning. I have yet to have feathered friends take inhabitance It’s possible the location needs adjustment or I put it up too late. Despite being currently vacant, assembling this DIY birdhouse was simple but satisfying project. I would recommend it especially to children or for anyone looking for an easy introduction to woodcraft that results in an attractive backyard birdhouse. Hopefully in time, the birds will agree and make themselves at home!

It’s inexpensive for a reason because it’s cheaper materials. It’s ok for a fun craft for a toddler or child. We had our kids paint them and give them to grandparents for gifts. I wouldn’t put them outside though cause they won’t last.

Nice little kit, easy to assemble

Cheap wood that's very thin and cracked easily when drilling the bird house into our fence. It also made the assembly process more tedious than it should be. Instructions are easy to follow and it was a nice craft with our 3 year old who was very excited about the whole process.

Bought for my daughter for her birthday as she’s now into wood working and painting, but she’s only 6. She loved it!
