Carefresh 99% Dust-Free Natural Paper Small Pet Bedding with Odor Control, 60 L

After buying a hamster, i soon found out that I am allergic to saw dust! After looking at alternatives I came across Carefresh and decided to give it a go. The product is great. It lasts for 10 days and does not smell one bit. It is far less messy than saw dust and very easy to change. Best of all there is no dust, so no more asthma attacks. The hamster also seems very happy as he can build little dens in it. Whilst it seems pricey, for the reasons mentioned above it is definitely worth it. It is also a lot cheaper on Amazon compared to shops.

Very good, worth the price. Degus are not easy to get the setup right for, this stuff is great. Single layer over the floors and it's good from clean-to-clean. Absorbs well, doesn't start to smell quickly (Degus are not extremely messy in that respect but with 5 in a larger cage setup it can get un-fresh quicker than it might, Caresfresh is the best I've used and I have tried a lot of other things).

A little expensive but ideal quality

Go to bedding for my 2 gerbils. I use the natural and sometimes the Confetti versions. The natural 60 Litres is fantastic and lasts a good while. Very easy to clean out top layers the gerbils love tunnelling in it and it seems to have been keeping them warm with the colder weather the past few weeks. The texture is noice and soft but not too soft and is absorbent when it comes to the gerbils pee. People have mentioned dust particles but I have been lucky enough not to have had that problem. Obviously when your pet digs it is going to kick up the normal dust that is on mulched? Paper but it’s nowhere near as bad as wood shavings. I have Cystic fibrosis and Bronchitis (lung conditions) and have had no breathing problems or issues using this. The gerbils home is in my bedroom too so I spend a good amount of hours around it. Highly recommend it.

I've always used wood shavings but was being advised this is better for hamsters. I think for what it actually is its over priced but it's this sort of price everywhere, I think I will just mix with wood shavings in the future as as much as it's OK and does the job I just think it's over priced

Amazing for your animals, much safer than sawdust. This is the right bedding you should be getting! My hamsters love it.

Really strong bad smell from this product !!

Bought for my hamster. Absolutely loved this. Fluffy and soft. Doesnt cause any problems to the hamster. 1 box goes for a good 2 months. Odor control is good. And easy to clean. Almost like cleaning a bunch of crumbled tissue. My hamster loves digging inside it and looks very happy and cozy. Always calm and well adjusted with this bedding from first use.

Works better than the ''Carefresh Shavings Plus Pet Bedding, 69.4 L ''. Absorbs and prevents urine from breaking the bottom of the litter. It's expensive but worth it. I have a rabbit and it absorbs odors even if I change it after 4 to 5 days. Better result than expected.

I've used many, many brands and this is the best I've found for my guinea pigs. I go through a lot of litter because I have litter boxes in front of their food and water. That's where my GP's do most of their bathroom business. I change out anything wet a couple times a day when I feed them. I was previously just buying whatever paper, pet-safe bedding was the lowest price, as there are often coupons and BOGO sales on different brands. There seems to be no odor, even with my house is warmer. But more important - This litter seems to wick the urine down to the litter on the bottom, keeping the top litter dry and clean. When I first starting using it, it was so dry on the top I thought something was wrong... like they were not peeing enough (maybe dehydrated or a water bottle failure)... but turns out it was just dry on the top and wet on the bottom. This is excellent for my GP's comfort and cleanliness. It's also soft and sometimes they just lie in it. The rest of their abode has fleece flooring with water proof pads underneath, which they seem to like, but sometimes when I first put this stuff down they just want to hang out in the litter box... lol.
