Great bit of kit, game changer in the kitchen, ensures you never have over cooked meat again. Unfortunately stopped working after 10 months of occasional use(probe wouldn't pair with phone or booster) so thought I'd try phoning the included helpline, spoke to a very pleasant gentleman (American company so need to work on EST) and 20 hrs later there is a replacement in my recycling bin, possibly the best service I have ever received. Has worked well for a year - in the oven, air frier, BBQ, smoker and on camp fires. Works with Dutch oven if you put the booster right next to it (though I did melt it a bit!!). It has broken after a year, I messaged ThermoPro on their web chat and after talking me through a couple of reset details they are sending me a new one. Great customer service (thanks Corey). Highly recommended

Great value. Works very well with long cooks in the smoker, and the temperature chart and alarms mean you don't need to keep checking by hand. The temp logging does require your phone to be near the unit though, so it won't work if you move out of range. It does cover most of the house though.

I find this item useless because it only really works well with thick cuts of meat. If you are cooking anything that isn't thick, this is pointless and won't give you good readings. You have to bury the entire probe into whatever you're cooking to get an accurate reading. If you're not cooking a huge steak, or a whole chicken or something that will let you bury the entire probe into whatever you're cooking, this is pointless.

This TempSpike is a fantastic piece of kit. Really nice heavy quality feel and works so well. Simply set up all the parameters for your preferred cook, such as required internal temp, alarm 5 minutes before hitting required temperature (or 2 minutes, or 22 minutes if preferred!) and sit back and relax until your meat is cooked to perfection. You can set upper and lower alarms for ambient temperature too so if the BBQ goes out or gets too hot you can make the necessary adjustments. I wouldn't be without this now and it does away with the need to keep nipping out to the BBQ in all weathers to make sure that expensive piece of Rib Eye is not being ruined by being overcooked. If you haven't got one, buy one! You won't regret it.
