Good Spade. See my Kent and Stowe spade review ...
The media could not be loaded. Good Spade. I have the carbon steel one not the stainless . The blade quality on the carbon steel one seems better . This spade is well constructed and looks likely to last the ten years the guarantee gives you , See my Kent and Stowe spade review video for more detail.

Superb quality and highly recommended.
A quite brilliantly made and top quality spade that has surpassed my expectations. This Kent and Stowe spade has a first class look and feel about it from the moment you remove the protective cover. The top lip of the spade has turned over edges for putting your foot on and the handle and shaft are superb. It also has a sharpened blade edge at the end and makes digging a much easier task. The spade comes with a 10 year warranty, evidenced by a nice little tag attached to the handle when first unpacked, containing the web address where you register the product. Registering such a traditional tool for warranty online seemed a strange thing to be doing but gives peace of mind and was both convenient and quick to do.I cannot recommend the spade highly enough and suspect it will last a lifetime.

Good value tool.
I paid £16.99 plus £4.99 delivery for this this spade. Arrived within two days.I think this is good value for the money.1. Nice long handle2. Strong blade with right angled step that reduces the wear on boots or wellies.3. The shaft has been welded to the blade. Good workmanship.4. The blade cutting edge has a bevel to help penetration.5. The blade is curved which decreases the chance of bending whilst digging.6. The metal collar or socket is quite long and joins the inserted wooden shaft with two rivets holding the shaft and socket together. This appears a good strong design and should reduce the chances of the wooden shaft snapping.7. The shaped handle is a continuation of the wooden shaft. This feels comfortable and strong. For just over £20 this is a good product.

Chuffed with my traditional spade
This spade has taken me through a couple of tree stump removals, emptied a gravel patch, and moved several tons of soil across the garden with it, and is still going strong. I have a nearly complete Kent and Stowe garden kit, with my other parts being Spear and Jackson - K&S gear looks a bit more sturdy and professional, combined with that sort of traditional look that reinforces your feeling that you're doing proper gardening.

Top Notch Garden Tools
Excellent product and despite criticism from the Boss over the price, I'm sure I'll have the last laugh as I reckon these will far outlast the cheaper options on the market! :)

Great spade
I bought in the spring and have used it lots. Works well - seems very strong - I gave it plenty challenges. Would recommend.

Light Digging Only
Fine for two years, but then the wooden handle snapped, when digging in heavy clay soil. A shame, because it seemed really good until now. Will buy a replacement handle.
