Mezco Toyz One:12 Collective Halloween II (1981): Michael Myers Figure

This figure was my second purchase in the Mezco 1:12 scale line and only helped solidify my decision to step aside from my normal line of collecting. The figure posability range and the fact that it’s covered in fabric with such fantastic stitch work is what helps push me into collecting. The value was there for what I got bs what I paid for. The durability is solid since it’s not a delicate frail figure and the look is incredible. I wasn’t a fat of the mask in the 2nd film, but this figure’ presence helps me overlook that. As for anccesories, there are several hands and weapons with 2 pumpkins. Not a lot in comparison to other toys in the scale either Mezco, but Michael Myers was never one to explore exotic types of weapons. I could certainly see this being a figure on high demand.

For anyone wanting a definitive Michael Myers figure from Mezco, I would highly recommend this version over the other unless you already have it. While every Michael Myers costume is a bit different across the wide array of movies, you could still fudge this one into a Halloween 1 or 2 display as the only noticeable difference between them is the color of Michael’s mechanics uniform and the six bullet holes he received at the end of the first movie. The proportions and articulation are far and away a massive improvement over the first release. Michael’s outfit also has a lot less of a “doll” aesthetic as the original had. This is not to say the original is a bad figure, but it is showing it’s age in some ways. The only area that the original really compares is the accessories. Each figure comes with movie accurate accessories but the ghost costume is something that makes the original a bit more unique. The tombstone is something you can acquire more easily from the neca version. The same can be said of this one’s accessories. Both pumpkins look great with the flickering LEDs turned on, but it is kind of a pain to have to switch them on and off. You do get Michael’s scalpel, hammer, and serrated knife as well as just about every hand you could imagine Michael making. While Michael isn’t exactly Jason Vorhees when it comes to his weapon selection in the movie, some additional pieces may have fit in nicely such as the flames from the neca version or a gurney. The Ben Tramer head is a nice addition though. By far the best reason to get this over the original is the price. If you have prime shipping, getting this for $70 or less is a pretty good deal, especially when compared to how much the original goes for.

Awesome figure I think this is one of the most best Michael Myers figures this is a must have

Really great figure, articulates good even tho it's cloth it's important to know it has its limitations and the more you overpose the figure the higher the risk of tearing at the material.

Very good sculpts and soft goods. Highly recommend if you love horror as much as I do. Great price too.

Super cool piece would recommend anybody comes brand new obviously

Missing 2 of the hands and the batteries came in dead not worth what I paid

so peak nothing to even complain about
