Great small compost bin
I really love this composter. It is small enough for me to spin, even when nearly full and the contents wet. Several years ago, I had a larger spinning composter that was really heavy to turn. I decided to get a smaller one this time. That was a good decision. If I had a larger yard and needed more compost I would get two or three. The one con is that it is not easy to get together. You have to be really patient and work to get the outer edge pieces together AND, once together, keep it together. Once you get the pieces of the outer edge of the circle together, then you have to click the two round(ish) side panels on. You have to really pound those hard with your hands to get them to fully snap together. If you don't get them fully snapped, you risk the whole thing coming apart. I assembled it by myself while watching a movie. It took about 90 minutes and a lot of patience. That was fine. I had time and didn't mind. It might have been easier with patient help. The instructions were adequate. All the pieces were in the box. Knowing what I know about this composter, if I needed another one, I would buy this one.

Compost
So far so good. We have not had any issues with animals getting into it. It was bigger then I was expecting but my husband loves the size. It was a little difficult to put together but once we started we got it. Easy to add compost and Easy to rotate when needed.

Worried about the panels warping if it gets too warm.
This is a small composter. Adequate for what I need, but is not going to provide the amount of compost that anyone gardening in anything other than pots is going to need. My biggest issue with this composter is that it basically snaps together. There is really nothing but the hope that the panels don't warp from the heat holding it together. The little door is just a panel that slides out of the frame, but if you push it too far to close it, it gets stuck in the frame and you need to pry it up to slide it open again. Otherwise for 18.5 gallon tumbler, it's well enough made since it won't be heavy enough to burst the connections. We'll see how it does longer term.

Good deal.
Love this. It is the perfect size and if put together correctly it will stay together, unlike some other reviews that said it falls apart. I have had no problem with it. Seems to be sturdy. I think the other reviewers didn't push the parts together all the way and so they had a problem. Seems great to me and was less money than the competition.

do not buy
once it came together; instructions were poor. then it worked with a bit of material in it. After it became approximately half full, it started to come apart. it is now secured with bungee chords. very disappointing product! it is also troublesome to open the container; I have to use a tool.

Takes two people, and some patience, and goes together well.
The instructions clearly recommend that the composter be assembled by 2 people, and my husband and I got it together fairly easily. We placed it on a sturdy outdoor table to work on it, which made it easier to see how the sections slide together, and align the screws with the holes. Once we had it completely assembled, we laid it down on its side with a brick underneath, and we were able to securely snap the sides on in places that needed a little more pressure. We wanted a smaller composter since we only have a 8โx2โ herb garden, as well as several containers with tomatoes, peppers, etc. I am cutting all my kitchen waste up quite small, as well as my โbrownโ material, in order to speed the process. I hope the composter will be a win-win for utilizing kitchen waste, and providing nutrients for all our plants.

Easy to build
Didn't take me long to build alone. Was looking for a small compost solution as someone who doesn't make a whole lot of food waste in an apartment situation. Its outside by the trash cans, and we do have raccoons but they've never gotten into it after several months of use. I have a very lax way of doing composting, so we'll see how it turns out, but I basically add dry weeds and grass and shredded paper with every bucket of compost. Its still not full and I turn it about weekly and whenever else I think about it. Its holding up well, just gotta click everything into place and its good. I'm sure it DOES leak, but where its by my trashcans it just doesn't bother me. You could I guess collect the juices as compost tea if you placed an oil pan under it. Easy to turn and to lock, as a small woman with not a lot of muscle. The gloves included were nice, I just use them for garden and DIY stuff. Good quality.

Not worth the headache!! OH MY GOD
2 stars so people actually see this There's a reason this thing is cheap. Putting it together is NOT WORTH IT!!!! How hard is it to make something that simply FITS TOGETHER?!
