Almost there
I got this to replace the AMPAD #22-157 notebooks I used for a long time before they made some changes. I finally ran out of my supply. :-( I mainly use them to do calculations and take engineering notes. The newer AMPAD comp books lines are way too dark on the ones I've seen. For these, I got both the dotted and the grid notebooks to try out. The line and dot darkness is about perfect. The main issue I have is the spacing of the dots and the grid. I really wish they weren't 5mm and were instead quarter inch (4/4) which is like 6.3ish and like the AMPADs. It seems minor but it's a much better spacing when using to write equations. That's even considering that I write pretty small. Second, I really wish they'd rounded the page corners. Again, it seems minor but they hold up so much better that way. Third, I like the heavy weight backing but all I have to do it set it down on a damp spot and it'll get messed up because it's bare cardboard. I'll end up having to cover it because I know I'll end up doing that somehow. The AMPAD notebooks have a less stiff but more durable backing. For something intended to be used in a lab setting I would've thought they'd considered that. Finally, I wish companies would offer paper that is less bright. I love the tanish color of AMPAD's paper but even a more mild ivory would be better than the bright white they have in these. Overall, I think these notebooks will be better for what I'm going to use them for but they definitely could be improved. Oh, the paper weight seems very similar if not a tad heavier when compared to the AMPAD computation books from 12ish years ago.

Many pros - but I won't buy again.
I really wanted to love using this notebook.Pros:Weight of paperSpiral notebookHeader space! <- loved this.SizeSturdyCons:The dot spacing was too smallThe dots themselves were too light - Some of my classrooms use dim lighting and I could barely see them.

Perfect Indexed Work Notebook
I purchased this Dot/Grid+ notebook a year ago to use at work (as a construction estimator). I was looking for a notebook that had a header with numbered pages so that I could create an index of jobs (as well as the ability to reference previously taken notes without needing to number a 200 page notebook). The paper thickness is wonderful and I have no issues with ink bleed through. The dots are very faint but not so much that I have an issue using them to keep my lines straight. The 5mm is slightly smaller than the standard "college" ruled (at 7.1 mm), but again, not so much that I have any issues with it. I feel like the dot/grid gives me the flexibility to use as needed if a sketch or columns should be added. I've not had any issues with the notebook wearing out, but it does basically stay open on my desk. I did have one water mishap, but other than the obvious wavy paper watermarks, the pages dried well and are all legible. After a year, it's time to purchase another one!

Sounds good, but misses on the details.
Mine arrived damaged. Not sure if that reflects a choice in the thickness or material of the spiral or just worse luck than the "other" twin ring computation book. I could barely see the dots on the body pages and the paper color is really high-glare. For some context, I'm quite happy with my Stalogy planner and I'll Lechturm1917 and Rhodia dot grid journals. Decided to just get a refund for the damage and get the other notebook.

Premium Price for Poor Quality
The biggest problem I have with this notebook is the grid dots are barely visible. These must be dark enough and/or large enough to see with the naked eye or else it is equivalent to plain paper. The notebook also does not open well: the wire spiral binding seems too small and tight. This causes page damage over time. Finally, take caution if using ink as the paper quality allows bleed through rather easily. This notebook costs more than average, presumably due to its features and quality. Sadly it falls well short of expectations.

Excellent notebook, dots are too light
I love the notebook, the paper is excellent (thick and absorbent), and the ring binding works very well for me. The only thing I don't like is that the dots are such a light grey that I can't see them in most light. Next time, I will order the lined version.

Definitely recommend
I love this book! I use mine as a bullet journal/ agenda. Love that it’s bigger than most and the pages don’t bleed. Feels good quality. Also love how many pages (which are numbered) iylt has and that it includes a title page and index page

Defective - bent binding
Product arrived damaged, the spiral binding on one book is crushed and deformed. Box fine and nothing else in it, so clearly was damaged before shipment. Am I going out to return it during a pandemic ? No.
