No they would not work very well on these.

hi. you can buy a guitar string cleaning cloths or a tube like cleaner that you press on the strings up and down the strings that will get rid of any residue on the strings you can look for ernie ball string cleaner online or other makes of string cleaner. hope this helps all the best.
