Held Up Great So Far
I've been using this for about a year so far in a few different firearms. The rubber plunger on the rear absorbs some of the impact from the pin/striker, so it will give you some piece of mind if straight dry-firing worries you. My dot appears every single time I dry fire, and I haven't had to replace the off-brand batteries that came with it yet, I assumed they wouldn't last this long and I would have had to replace them with Duracells, but they keep on going. The only issues I have experienced with this is that after having it in the chamber for lots and lots of cycles, it can be a bit hard to get out. Just take something softer than steel (ideally a plastic rod if you have something like that) and insert it in the muzzle end and push the training laser out into the magwell area. Sometimes when I first insert this into the chamber and release the slide, it will either cause the laser dot to appear momentarily like the trigger was pulled, or worse, the laser dot will come on and stay on. I think this is mostly caused by the fact this laser cartridge isn't fully seated into the chamber. Racking the slide several times fixes it and the laser dot goes off, so I think racking the slide just seats it into the chamber/barrel the correct distance. FYI, none of the firearms I have used this in will eject it, it's designed so that the extractor can't properly seat against it and pull it out like a normal round, which is what you want when you're cycling/dry firing/doing drills. It may not be a big name brand, but buy with confidence.

Works great!
Works great my laser and cell phone target practice system. I fired a couple hundred virtual rounds from a 9mm 92fs using this laser round with zero function issues. Every time the hammer fell a laser hit was recorded. The round dropped right into the chamber and stayed put until I pushed it out without any problem using the eraser end of a pencil. In one session this laser training round more than paid for itself in saved ammo and fuel costs. I got in a really good practice session (during a snow storm) without having to drive to and from the range. Best of all I didn't have a gun to clean afterward.Highly recommend.

Best bang for your buck
given the current ammo shortage and crazy prices, I'd been looking into more dry-fire training using these laser cartridges. A friend of mine had an iTarget system lying around that he gifted to me. The actual targeting system (using a phone camera) is a little gimmicky, and probably most useful when helping to train a newbie; the laser cartridge itself is where it's at. I basically run around my house shooting anything which represents a decent 'target' (light switches, thermostat, etc). It has DRASTICALLY helped my groupings when I go to the range. By now I've probably fired the iTarget cartridge about 1500 times, and the snap cap/button on the back of the cartridge is starting to fail. After reading some reviews, I decided to go with a CheapShot laser cartridge replacement, not only for the decent reviews, but also because they sell replacement caps which is just good planning. After receiving my new CheapShot cartridge, I can tell you that it is a better design than the iTarget cartridge: 1) the CS cartridge is a bit longer, which should help with accuracy. 2) the diameter of the snap cap is a smidge smaller, which prevents my glock extractor from actually hitting it (my itarget cartridge has several chunks of the gold/brass-colored paint chipped off from impact with the extractor). This should also prevent the gold paint dust from getting all over the inside of my firearm. I'm going to go ahead and order 2 replacement caps while they're still available, as I plan to use this cartridge for quite a while. Super happy!

Should have bought this sooner!!
I have used a few other laser practice devices, and am really pleased with this one. It is far less expensive than most of the alternatives, and of very high quality. Not only is the laser fairly accurate, it is Consistent, which is very important for your practice. In less than two weeks of use, the unit has already began to fail. The laser has gone from a sharp circular image, to a blurry oblong shape. If shaken downwards, the lens or laser unit moves a bit and temporarily returns to a sharp circle. However within a few shots, it goes back to being a blurry oblong shape. The vendor sent me a replacement unit along with a prepaid return envelope. I had already sent the original unit back by priority mail, and will hold on to this packaging for awhile. The replacement has held up for the last three weeks, without any issues. I will post an update if that changes.UPDATE: after 16-18 months of hard use (100-150 trigger pulls every day), this unit has begun to fail as well. The laser is becoming fuzzy instead of being sharp, and the switch doesn't always recognize hits from the striker. That said, I think that this is an amazing training aid, and will be buying a replacement very soon. Why would I buy an item that eventually fails? well it lasted longer than my SIRT, which needed bot a laser and trigger replacement after just 12 months. And it's a lot less expensive than the SIRT.

9mm works great
I found this was very accurate, it hits right on the spot every time. I had a taryag I ordered that was off to the left, and this one is spot on. It fit the barrel perfect S&W M&P 2.0 compact 3.6in barrel. No problems closing the slide, no problems sliding it in the barrel. I shot over 200x the first night and it stayed accurate for every shot and every drill. The other thing that was great is it worked with both apps I tried it with. For anyone not sure what type this is, it gives a short burst when you squeeze the trigger, it is not a bore sighter. The light stays on just long enough so you can see if you are moving while squeezing the trigger. This one will go a long way in helping stop anticipation and to see trigger errors you may be making. I recommend this product above any other, they sell replacement ends cheaper than the rest and other reviews have shown how long it lasts. I will definitely be sticking with this company from now on. The price is right, it works with the apps, you can print your own targets for drills and it bright enough to show up on both purchased and printed targets.
