(Pack of 4) Otter Kingdom Premium Smoked Oysters in Pure Olive Oil, 3-Ounce Cans

Living in the southeast I've grown up eating oysters in every way imaginable but I've never had tinned oysters. Not surprisingly these are delicious. The ingredients are perfect, just oysters and olive oil. Not much of an odor, a slight fishy smell not unpleasant. The anterior of the oyster is chewy as it should be. The posterior has the consistency of liver, soft and melts in your mouth. Flavor? A deliciously tasty morsel dripping with clean olive oil with a subtle smoky flavor. I can't get past the can, eating them as a snack immediately after opening. So I can't say how versatile they may be in other recipes. Nutrition is on the label if you're interested. They're soft bodied so I must be careful using chopsticks to remove them one at a time direct to mouth. A bit pricey I would save these for a special treat. Value for the money is pushing it. I loved them and will purchase again but not necessarily frequently. For a once in a lifetime treat that you likely will repeat, this should be one of your choices.

Big, plump oysters...not small, not dry and without a large amount of green guts. These are delicious!

I bought these to try out I find the texture and the taste is outstanding! It's a great treat to have in the cabinet when you want to have a unique order with wine or champagne.

These are absolutely amazing. The perfect amount of smoke and olive oil. They are nice and plump, and large in size compared to Chinese ones. Korea produces great quality products. These have a nice texture without any grittiness and being mushy. They are expensive compared to other olive oil packed oysters from Korea and that is why I rated it 4 stars.

Our family has been eating oysters for years, but this Otter Kingdom brand has to be the tastiest ever-- tender and flavorful-- Highly Recommended. Re: what a previous reviewer had posted: “These oysters come with a Prop 65 “Reproductive Health” warning on the packaging.” After looking into this Prop 65 warning, I found that most products that come from the ocean could have absorbed mercury, so this California Prop 65 label is stuck on a lot (if not all) of fish/seafood products. But each kind of fish/seafood has a different level of exposure. According to the LiveStrong website article: “Which Fish Has the Highest and Lowest Mercury Levels?” the seafood with the lowest mercury content includes: catfish, clams, crab, herring, OYSTERS, salmon, sardines, shrimp, tilapia fish, tuna fish, among others. These should be eaten no more than 2 to 3 times a week (most people stay within that guideline). It’s the larger-sized fishes that tend to have higher mercury content, so oysters are of no more concern than any other small fish. Just wanted people to not get out bent out of shape about this label. The State of CA has a lot of concerns to deal with-- like wildfire devastation caused by their policy to restrict water from flowing from the north of the state, so it would probably be better for them to focus on THOSE life-endangering issues rather than sticking all these "WARNING" labels on food products! Right?

As someone that is landlocked far from the ocean and also cannot get to the grocery store as much as they would like, I thought I'd try these out. I'm on my third order and can't say a word negative about this brand compared to any of the other tinned oysters I've ever had. Very good taste, and the price is fair.

I recently purchased these oysters and was very disappointed at how they lacked that rich smoky flavor. The oysters themselves are nice sized and plump but without that nice smokiness, I wouldn't purchase them again.

I eat a lot of tinned fish product. This is a quality tinned oyster with plump meaty oysters and well packed. No broken pieces and the oysters are of a very good size. I recommend!

Utterly delicious! Such a gorgeous Smokey flavour - reminds me of mackerel! Just add crunchy flakes of salt with lemon juice and you have a delicious and nutritious snack 😋 will be making these a regular purchase from now on!
