Exceeds Expectations
This is apparently the last model of Thinkpad to have the good keyboards before they joined the flood of chiclet keys that all laptops have these days. Le sigh.Installed Ubuntu 22.04 and am still having the expected difficulty getting the Quadro 1000 working, it doesn't seem to want to switch from the integrated Intel GPU. Heaven Benchmark is significantly faster under Windows than Linux. The hard disk takes me back, and not to a good time. SO slow. How did we ever live like this? Maybe I need to get something that boots off floppies to give myself some context. :)I replaced it with an SSD when I installed Ubuntu, and... so much smoother.Fingerprint reader works acceptably under Ubuntu with fprintd. Jammy Jellyfish doesn't use the fingerprint for sudo though, which is kind of annoying, I still have to use my password for system configuration. Oh well.
