New Balance Men's 5 Inch Go 2 Short

I seem to buy a couple pair each year of the dry fit type shorts; what is great about these includes extremely lightweight and fast drying, comfortable, full sized, and nice decent size pockets in the front that will handle a wallet or iphone. The shorts are 5 inch, so they are pretty short, but at least they have a liner inside. They are so thin that I really wouldn't want them super wet in front of some ladies if you get my drift. Quality wise they seem well made (good stitching, very good material). The only other brand that has a pair that comes close is Nike, and these New Balance are less expensive, and as good, if not better, than the comparable Nike. My only minor complaint is I wish they had more colors to choose from.

Cheap and basic running shorts? - CheckStandardized color and comfortably long inseam? - CheckKey pocket in an area where it does not hinder your workout? - Not so much....The key pocket on these shorts sit at the front right hip. Maybe my car key is huge (standard modern Honda key) but the placement of this pocket can lead to your key jabbing you in the hip on some runs. SOME, not all. But it still happens. I would much rather have the key pocket sit on the side or back of the garment, like some other shorts that I have.For the price and basic make of these shorts they're a great buy. These are a good addition to a weekly running wardrobe and are pretty cheap to boot. I hope they move the position of the key pocket in later seasons.

Running shorts could not be better made than this. Light, fit well, comfortable..what else can you ask for? I bought 3 pairs of New Balance shorts (pay about 1/3 of the price at Amazon vs. NB store in the mall) and could not be happier witht them. High tech material, airy and light, no chaff and looks good. Comes with 2 generous side pockets and a small secured key pocket. I am thinking about buying a few more pairs for daily wear instead of shorts. There is a unnoticed difference between a 5-inch and 7-inch shorts, so it doesn't matter which one, the all look the same.

These are my favorite running shorts. The material is very lightweight, wicks well, and dries quickly. I was skeptical about relying on a mesh liner for support, but the design and materials are just right, and it works well. The front pockets work great. I have a 30-31 inch waist and the small fits me perfectly.

The option for fit above it to limiting. I'm 5'5" 175 lbs and when I run I think these fit just right. When running, they're great - don't even know they're on. They wick away moisture great. Very comfortable WHEN RUNNING. When walking though, before OR after a run, it's like the cut is off and there isn't enough fabric in the back, because WHEN WALKING, they pull up into my crotch. I've worn them on 3 runs to make sure it wasn't me. I'm white, I'm slightly over weight, but I don't have a big butt and no other short has ridden up like these. Maybe I got a badly made pair, but I just can't recommend them.

After about 3 months of use (a couple times a week) The drawstring has frayed to the point that I expect I'll need to try to replace it in the next couple weeks.Otherwise, I have no complaints. Very light and dry quickly.

Great looks, length, pockets, and feel very light. They'd make awesome running shorts. Unfortunately, they don't have much stretch at all, and feel like the seams are stressed unduly when doing anything requiring mobility or flexibility (ie bottom of a squat, or yoga poses). Since these seem to only be running shorts and are advertised as able "to do it all", I'm docking a few stars.

I manage to purchase this short half price here on amazon and happy that I did. I use this short for my recent marathon run and loved it. I use to wear gym shorts, which were long and a bit heavy. At the time I was only doing half marathon and figure I won't be running for much longer. Now I'm up to marathons and soon who knows, but these short really helped out. Their light weight, it comes with a internal crepe which also eliminate the use of underwear. It have two front pocket and a small key holder on the upper right waste band. Best running short so far, now I'll just look into buying more New Balance products.
