Makes a great turmeric tea!!

To begin with, I was shocked at how fresh this turmeric was. It got to me, halfway around the world, within days of being processed and bagged. The manufacturing date was May 2023. Days within my receipt. The expiration date is April 2025. And what's inside is truly fresh. The texture is not a powder. Instead, they are small pieces that kind of remind me a little of granola. Not sure, but that will probably hold up longer than the powdered form. Still easy to use. Of course, you can just pop it into a blender or grinder if you need to pulverize it for whatever you intend to use this for. Won't be needed for most uses though. Easy to use. Tastes good and is good for you. It's also very versatile to use to flavor foods, as well as to use in your own homemade ointments and masks. Safe and clean and very natural. Good for both enjoyment and health.

This Indian turmeric is not in the powdered form you’ll find in your spice drawer, but instead consists of small pieces well-suited for straining into tea (see photo). Even so, I was surprised at the lack of powdery content in the bag. I brewed a cup using a strainer with mesh that is not as fine as I usually use for teas. While a little sediment accumulated at the bottom of my cup, there was less than I usually get from turmeric tea packaged in tea bags. I verified that the bag contained the full 8 oz expected. It is remarkably fresh, having been packaged early this month, giving it a stated 2-year shelf life. In short, this is high quality, organic turmeric cut in a form well-suited for infusion.

I brewed this according to directions, by boiling water and steeping 1 tsp, which isn't very much, of the Turmeric Root Tea. It says to steep for 5-10 mins, depending on how strong you want the flavor. I ended up steeping this longer, about 20 mins. Even with the longer steep time the flavor was nice. For me it was earthy and mildly spicy, without any bitterness. I enjoyed the taste, but I can see that for some it could be an acquired taste. I didn't add anything into my tea, but I could see adding other items, such as ginger, lemon or honey. I'm looking forward to drinking more of this and all the benefits of Turmeric.

I love tumeric. It is a great immunity booster; it is great for anti-inflammation. I use it for so many things. We use it frequently for cooking. I put it in smoothies a lot. I have also made immunity booster juice shots at home with the powder. You could even use this powder to mix and make skin products for, like face masks. This powder goes a long way because it does not take much of it otherwise you add a very potent flavor that is not the best.

Tumeric in foods of all kinds in every way. Chunky Tumeric cut and sifted to filter and strain while making Tea. Tumeric Tea has the expected zesty bite with its own taste and the same sharp choke as a spoonful of cinnamon. This coarse cut is tea intended and makes the most robust cup one could experience. Great for inflammation and immunity boost.

Upfront this is not powdered, it is a very small cut of the turmeric root. Perfect for making teas. The root pieces were fresh and sealed well. Bag is resealable which is perfect to preserve freshness. I really enjoy the products put out by herbs botanical, every product I have ordered has been fresh and ready to use. I would recommend!!!
