While shopping at Barnes & Nobles for Christmas gifts, I came across this Buddha Board. The college student working there was raving about how she and her friends used this item to relieve stress and express themselves over and over creatively. I bought 4 for gifts. After the opening of gifts, one granddaughter, who did NOT receive one (I don't buy everyone the same thing) kept trying to use her sister's. Of course, that didn't work. So she asked where she could buy one. Barnes and Nobles was all sold out!! So...I turned to my trusty friends at Amazon and wallah, had one to give to my granddaughter at Michigan State University. The kids in Wyoming love theirs, the parents of these kids are enjoying the boards, everyone seems to try to outdo one another in their productions. The small size was used more than the large because it can be carried anyway. Our family even uses it in the living room with no mess at all!! We love it.

Great activity for a 9 year old girl. My niece loved it. Smaller size is wonderful for travel.

Smaller than I expected but I should have looked at the dimensions. Otherwise great and will be great for travel!

Great mindfulness gift. I have one of my own and really enjoy it. I specifically got pink for a coworker that has their desk accessories all in pink. I received a green one instead. I hope I can get the right one before our gift exchange.

I just got this and have started to play around with it. I bought a pink one thinking it would be easier to find in a full backpack. Unfortunately, I didn't do enough research and didn't know that the color refers not only to the plastic stand/cover but also to the writing. I had assumed the writing on all colors would be black. Wrong. That's disappointing but I can only blame myself. I got this to practice writing Chinese characters, which is about all the mini one is big enough for. I've discovered that it's going to take a lot of practice to figure out the proper amount of water to use on the brush. So far I either use too little and the beginning disappears before I finish or I have too much water, in which case it can take a really long time to disappear. I think this will improve with more practice.

I got this as my Secret Santa team present. She liked it and uses it often. You can put water in the brush holder though that can be messy. You might also consider a desk-sized zen garden if you don't want water near electronics. My order came pink as pictured.

Bought full size Buddha board for our use at home. Bought this plus two mini Buddha brand boards similar to this board for bday gifts. Cool compact size for on the go. Water trough is small as it should be. Four stars because having an additional brush storage besides the water trough would be nice and having to dump out excess water when you want to close them is a pain and messy. But it can’t have it all I suppose. Lol. Still a cool gift but would pay a little more next time for full sized board.

Bought this for my daughter, she is 18 months and loves to color and paint. This allows her to do so, while saving my house and furniture!
