Great product overall
Used this stove for a camping trip over the weekend and it rained on us the entire trip; so having a traditional campfire was difficult, to say the least. This stove saved the weekend! Was able to cook and make coffee directly underneath the tarp while it was raining, and it contained the fire well enough to not burn the tarp! Took a little figuring to get the airflow-wood ratio right, but once I figured that, everything else was smooth sailing. Stove DOES need constant attention/tending (likely due to its small stature/small burning area) so keep that in mind before walking away from it because it WILL go out relatively fast. Sets up and breaks down quickly and easily, and stores away neatly in a bag with carrying handle. And even though not designed to provide heat, while running under the tarp (20’x20’ tarp, set up in a traditional a-frame style, with the peak about 8’ from the ground) it heated the interior of the tarp area a significantly noticeable amount. Overall, very satisfied with this purchase. Well worth the money spent!

Ease of use!
I have nine different stoves to use while camping or just chilling on my deck, and after buying this rocket stove my purchasing days may be over. After receiving this today I had to try it out. Unlike others who were missing the wing nuts mine had all parts. Assembly is a breeze, just lay the front side face down on the ash and wood fill doors, slide the stabilizer bar into the groove on the bottom back and secure it with the two wing nuts. Put the two pot stands into the chimney and your done. I put a small piece of fatwood into the wood fill shoot lit it and let it burn for a minute and then placed small 4x1” pieces of wood onto the burning fatwood. I see why it’s called a rocket stove. I never put more than 4 pieces of wood into the wood fill shoot and the stove worked like a champ. I kept the fill door closed while the stove was burning so that the flames went up the chimney and not out the fill shoot. Every several minutes I added several more pieces of wood. I used the poker provided to move the burning wood around. The stove burns out pretty quickly after you stop feeding it. The ash door on the bottom of the stove makes short work of cleaning the ashes out! The design and ease of use was a pleasant surprise. The steel it’s constructed with is strong enough to last many a camping trip. I purchased it on sale $31 and that is a deal. The two carry bags and gloves should keep the soot from soiling my other camp gear. Bring your cast iron cooking utensils as this stove can handle 130lbs. This stove is the real deal. Buy it!

Car camping and idiot proof.
Made of hvy gauge steal and looks just like what you need when society fails. simple, nothing to break, and will last a lifetime. Most useful at a base camp, car camping or backyard. I wouldn't take this on a long hike unless with other hikers who can distribute and share pack loads.

Great stove on paper but for cooking, you can do better.
I really wanted to love this stove. It is really good quality. Great, even. Made from good, thick, steel. Very well made.Unfortunately the airflow isn't great and it's hard to keep it going. Forget maintaining a consistent temperature for cooking. You can't keep coals in it long enough to cook anything without constantly tending to the fire.I'll stick to cooking over propane for now. Dang it.Love the portability of this thing. Really wish the fire was better.
