2 Helmets. 2 Sets. 2 Results.
These are cheap so I bought a set for each of my current helmets just to listen to music. HJC RPHA 70 St and an Icon Airform. On the HJC the speakers are right against my ears and everything seems to sound decent when riding. On the Icon, the speakers are behind a foam pad and they do not sound good at all when riding. I can't even tell what song is playing half the time. The speakers are kind of big, and I can feel them in both helmets. The controls work fine on the speaker stem. They seem to have good battery life. It would be nice if the volume could go a tad higher. You'll probably be happy if you just want some basic music functionality and the spot where the speakers go is not under a cheekpad.

Don’t buy
Received it today with hopes it would be decent. Not expecting a whole lot. But what I received was far below expectations. First off, installation was easy. That’s the only thing that went good. Paired it to my phone and tried to play music. Immediately it sounded horrible. Very staticky, instrumentals you could hear decent. As far as the singing it was horrible. You can’t hear any words at all. With my bike turned off!!! I ride an 02 R1 that’s loud af so there goes any sound from the speakers at all. Extremely disappointed in the product. Also the description doesn’t match up with the actual device packaging at all. Wouldn’t even recommend on an electric scooter.

Great helmet headset for basic functions (listening to music)
I've always bought cheap headphones and ripped out the speakers to mount into my helmets. They were all wired and plugged into a headphone port but these newer phones don't have one so I was forced to find another method. I found these and I was a bit skeptical but worth a shot for the price (cheaper than the ones I ripped apart) . I installed them in an Arai XD3 and it seemed very quiet and useless on the highway. Then I connected to my Garmin Zumo XT for music and they were really loud. I connected back to my phone and checked the settings and the output was at 50% even though the headset was at 100%. Weird but it fixed the low volume issue. Now at 100%, it's almost too loud even at highway speeds. Garmin voice directions worked well too.I bought a new helmet (Shoei GT Air2) and it has cutouts for another comms system that's $300 and not very good from the reviews I've read. I ordered another one of these and just installed them and they work just as well. The speakers fit into the ear cutouts but the cutouts for the wiring are a bit off. Not a big deal as you can route the wires easily. While riding, I can reach under the chinbar to access the buttons. There's only 3 so it's not difficult to skip songs, change volume or pause. I've answered a call once and the other party didn't know I was riding but I was on a backroad so minimal road/wind noise. The auto-answer can be disabled on the phone in the BT settings, at least on my phone (Samsung S22+).Anyone that thinks these aren't loud enough, check your BT and audio output settings. I had the same problem until I changed the settings.*Edit* 7/14/2023I've used this mostly for just music from my phone. A few months ago, I tried connecting to my Zumo XT and it disconnects about 10-20s after connecting and won't reconnect unless I reboot the headset. I also have a BT hub on my motorcycle (Ducati Multistrada) and it also disconnects when I use it as a hub. Still works great when connected to a phone for music but had to knock down a couple of stars for lack of support for a gps or other BT hub. I tried deleting everything and re-pairing one by one.

Good Buy/ Great Sound
No way could I afford a Helmet sounds system. I set out to find away to get directions or music when I was getting Wind Therapy. I started with expensive Ear Bud's which came loose and flew around in the helmet. Then, ones hook together or held over the ear on and on. Was able to to believe, I would have to listen to my voice echoing in my helmet which made me Very Afraid. Then, I came across these life saver. This little Dound System is Great! Fits nice inside my helmet. I can turn the volume up and volume not controlled by my phone, so I can hear direction or music at 70mph. When a call comes in, I can answer it hands. Talk and friend can hear me and hang up. Go back to listening to music or directions. You don't to put out $500 to a couple thousand to have a Sound System. Other Riders have listen to my Sound System and ask, " How much did it cost?" When i tell them. They cant believe it. And tell me what they paid and I just smile. This is a "Great Buy" in my opinion.
