Lucas Oil 10915 Extreme Duty CLP Gun Oil, 4 Ounce, 1 Pack

After a dozen or more years covering prime time nfl and Colts games from the air, and staring at the outside of that building while orbiting around it for hours on end, I thought maybe I’d give Lucas Oil products a shot. They paid for the signage, it’d be rude not try them. I’ve always used a cleaner like Hoppes and then follow up with an oil for lubrication. This is my first CLP and so far I’m very impressed. This makes quick work of cleaning after a range day. I used to appreciate the smell of Hoppes, but not anymore. The Lucas clp is odorless to my nose.

I grabbed this for my .22 and shotgun that I keep locked in my dorm closet, since the campus range gets super dusty. The bottle is small but it lasts a while. I just put a few drops on the slide and rails and it runs smooth. Smell is there but not crazy, i just crack the window and it’s fine. My favorite moment was cleaning after a rainy day at the outdoor range and seeing the gunk wipe off way faster than before. It does attract a bit of lint if I overdo it, so go light. For a basic cleaning and lube setup, this works well for me.

Great stuff, easy to use. A little goes a long way. Cleaned up a neglected pewpew, in no time. I had to super fine steel wool some rust, then applied this stuff. Boom, done. Easy peasy resto.

Nice oil in a handy container. Purchased to remove very slight rust markets on a blued gun barrel. Worked like a charm with some 0000 steel wool. Coated barrel after and hope to arrest the problem in the future. Happy with purchase and would buy again.

This stuff works amazing and smells great too, no heavy solvent smell. Works amazing in actions and barrels when removing copper isn't a concern.
