Pre De Provence 150 Gram Soap Bar - Honey Almond by Pre de Provence

—— june2023—— I need to order more soap but at £24 per bar, I cannot justify the expense so now need to find a new soap. What happened?! 2022—I’ve been using this honey-almond soap for years, just in the US and now I’m the UK. I love the smell. I love the ground almonds that exfoliate dead skin. I always feel clean and invigorated with smooth, soft skin. The only downside is that the large bars are quite large for my small hands, but it’s manageable. This is the soap I’ll use for the rest of my life.

Love this soap for my late night relaxation showers. It’s very gently on my sensitive dry skin and leaves behind a wonderful aroma. Just love it!

I've used this Honey Almond soap bar a few times over the past year and enjoy the lather and scent - it smells like a nice mixture of honey & almond almost like a natural cereal. It does have the tiny grit once you get closer to the middle of the bar and it can be rough but as long as you lather it in your hands first and then apply to your skin - it isn't too aggressive and leaves you with a clean/fresh feeling after. I gave this only 3 stars because they recently jacked up the price nearly double since I last bought (in October 2021) so I most likely will not be buying again until I see a price drop. People with Overly sensitive skin/small hands (soap bar is larger than normal Dove soap) may not be a fan of this one but I've been a repeat customer of this one since I enjoy the quality and lather/scent. Give it a try ;)

I've been using the same bar for well over a year, I primarily use it on my face, not every single day. But it lasts a long time. Soap bars are always going to last longer than gel or liquid and this one has great exfoliating texture so I can even use it directly on my face. I decided this will be my go-to facial cleanser, it's not too drying and is less expensive than many well known cleansers.

Smells like almond candy but it’s a little drying for sensitive skin

I am very particular about what scents I can stand to have on my skin all day - I avoid anything that smells like chemicals, is overpowering, or anything super floral since they tend to be the things that make me nauseous/give me a migraine. The scents I tend to pick are usually food related: citrus, spices (like cinnamon/rosemary), lavender, and almond. If they're close to what the real item smells like, then they are less likely to make me sick. I picked these soaps because they had really good reviews - that they they are a really good quality, and not super fragrant, but still good-smelling and that they smelled like what they were named. I ordered 3 different scents of this soap - Agrumes (Citrus); Coconut; and Honey Almond. The Agrumes smells clearly citrus-y, and I love it - the smell is mild enough to not bother me all day & my skin feels fantastic, but the other two scents don't really smell at all like their namesakes and I'm a little wary to even continue to use them. The coconut is extremely disappointing since I love coconut scented stuff, but actively dislike the floral spectrum of soaps/perfumes/lotions - it doesn't remotely smell like coconut - all it smells like is something super sweet/floral instead, which is bizarre since those two things are not at all similar. The Honey Almond smells super (sickly) sweet and vaguely like honey, but not at all like almonds which is what I was really hoping for - this has been a huge let down as it was the scent I was most excited about - I love honey as well as almond extract - I use them it a lot of my baking and LOVE them together since they balance well. With this soap I had expected an equal combination of the two scents to come through, but instead it seems to have just been created around the sweetness of honey, with vague floral/clover blossom scent added, but nothing at all that smells like almonds. (For clarification - clover honey is cheap, so it tends to be the most common variety people get and is what people tend to associate honey tasting like, but that IS NOT what this soap smells like). Overall for the soap itself - it feels good on my skin and seems to do it's job as far as cleaning, but having 2 out of 3 scents being completely wrong is super disappointing and I probably won't be willing to try any of their other scents in the future (EXCEPT I might buy more of the Agrumes in the future).
