I’m very happy with the WYZE Cam OG. The video quality is clear, setup was simple, and the camera provides a convenient way to keep an eye on things from my phone. The motion detection works well, and the compact design makes it easy to place. Overall, it’s a reliable security camera with useful features for everyday home monitoring.

I just bought four of these little cameras in the last month. They are very reasonably priced and I was afraid they wouldn’t be of good quality. I was wrong. The pictures are clear, the colors are crisp. The app is easy to use and has many useful functions and options for settings. The whole set up of cameras and app took about 5 minutes each. They are very responsive to movement and sound and you can adjust the sensitivity. I like that you can set a “detection zone” if you want to cut down on extraneous detections, so instead of monitoring the entire front yard I can just set it to detect if someone actually comes onto my porch if I want. I like that I can also hear what’s outside when in the live mode (and speak to someone outside). The siren, microphone and spotlight work very well. You can set it to make an audible “WYZE” tone outside if it detects someone OR to let them know they are being recorded. I actually have a couple of mine sitting on outside window ledges with the cord coming in under the window to plug in. The cords are flat so it works. The others are mounted outside near outlets and they came with what you need to mount them. I’m not paying for the iCloud storage for the videos because I don’t need it. And since I’m not doing the advanced monitoring there are functions that I don’t get. But that is ok for me right now. Overall, I’m very happy with them. Considering getting one more. You can look back through the recording and they are marked where there were sound/movement detections. My only negative is that you can look back at the video on the app in 30 second increments rather than actually “scrolling” so you could miss something that wasn’t detected. If I take the SIM card out and put it in my laptop I can do more of a “scroll”. I have had a few episodes of verified movements that weren’t detected/notified/marked on the video but nothing big. That aside, I highly recommend. And I’ll add that 10 days after getting these one of my cameras recorded a neighbor’s trailer being stolen. So while I didn’t have the alarm/notification set to go off overnight on that particular camera I was able to give them the footage which they say has been helpful.

Wonderful picture quality - day or night - for the price and oh so sturdy. We have kept it out in heavy, heavy downpours….. we have a horse who likes to knock them over and unplug them. ☺️Have not lost one camera yet. Easy to set up and maintain. You can buy a special plan to get playback video and such but as a standalone camera without that, still super valuable. We don’t have any of that added functionality by choice because the cameras are really for us to check in on our animals to make sure they are safe and happy.

The cameras were very easy to set up. They are for the front of my home so I connected them to my wifi extender. Picture quality is good, a little blurry on zoom but not bad. My old zomodo cameras had 12 sec recording at no cost so when I paid for cloud service on these, I was surprised that the cloud service was only for recording 12 sec recordings. I was not happy so I bought SD cards, (amazon brand, easy to format through the app) and now use those so I cancelled the cloud service. So not paying for any cloud service is better. The SD card overwrites itself when full. I was very disappointed when I saw that my shared user (who lives with me) couldn't access the SD card and replay. What's the point if my housemate can't see what past event were? But then thought it through, and duhhh..I signed them out of the app and signed them in with my name, password and they now have access to SD card. So if it's your family in your home, just sign them in to your account on the app and they can access events/SD card. Problem solved. Very odd on wyze's part to not allow that with a shared user. Even my old zomodo cameras had that option. So now that the flaws are fixed, (SD card, no longer paying for cloud service and shared user using my account instead) I can now say that the cameras were a good investment. I have a porch light that comes on dusk till dawn and it keeps the camera facing that direction stays in color mode at night, my old cameras didnt do that. The other camera is in night vision but can be easily turned into color by turning on the spotlight through the app. The sound quality isn't in stereo or anything but I can hear okay what's being said if someone is in front of the cameras. The siren is loud if needed to be used and the microphone works good to talk. I set motion detection parameters and they seem to be working fine. My router is in a bedroom on opposite side of the house so I have an extender in the garage which works them fine. High speed USB extension cords are being used to power them. The set up was so easy, I was very surprised. Just connect your phone to your extender of using one, to connect cameras to it. *red dots in photo are for privacy*

So far everything about these cameras has been great. We have sd cards in so they continuously record which is absolutely amazing. We also get a ton of alerts for motion (even the rain will set it off) so it’s super sensitive. They are very clear which is great, I can hear people In my yard pretty clearly and of any camera I’ve used this is the only one that people could actually understand me through when I use the mic (even with my Roku cameras people couldn’t understand what was being said) my kids were able to hear me over their playing. The app is pretty user friendly and while I wish they were battery operated so I had more placement options I do love that they plug in so I don’t have to worry about them dying. When I click on to check a notification it loads pretty quickly. I’d say my only complaint is that my husband can’t view the app the same way I can (he can’t watch past events on the sd card).

I had bought a wyze v3 or 3v which ever it was and I might sound like a complainer but I was not happy with it. Paid 19.99 a year for subscription. In a couple of months it broke. Tried to cancel subscription, can't cancel until December this year. So I ordered the OG, says it didn't come w/ the outdoor plug, ( because I was on the phone with Amazon to make sure it was a total package) outdoor weather proof colored night vision video recording, picture taking, cloud storage, I even paid for another year subscription with these 2 new OG camera's and bought 2 charging blocks, because the guy at Amazon agreed with me and the reading, it Did not come with the outdoor charge block, so I ordered 2 charging blocks and 2- 20 ft. Long cords extra, it added another 20.00 on the bill. I'm not real good with setting up things, so I sat down read everything carefully, and I sets up fairly easy. I have wifi at my home, so had to enter my pin # and I did, but a question cam to my mind. It said nothing about 2g or 5g, so I read it again it said 2g only, but it connected to 5g . I have it working but, if you are looking for colored night vision it ain't gonna happen, and there's a little i-con on the screen, if you tap on it on playback sometimes you get color during the day light hours, and sometimes you don't. Forget the color at night. The clarity at night, if you want distance, you might get 10 feet. It's real grainey at a distance, and it's a little better during the day. But if I could do merchandise reviews on Amazon and wanted my merchandise to sell, I would be straight forward and honest about it. This is just my opinion. Everyone's else seems to like this security camera. I adjusted the sensitivity and only had it on events, not continuously. ME, DEFINITELY NOT WORTH THE $$. The customer service at wyze is terrible. In hold for 40 minutes another time 18 minutes, I could not understand her, and she acted like she got upset with me. I finally told her I will call another day. Just being honest.

It’s really easy to use and mount. Detects motion even at night either with motion sensor, sound or both. Subscription isn’t that bad for multiple cameras.

These cameras are the best. I have about five of them around my house and the app is awesome. There is a fee to use this yearly but it's worth it

Without there plus services you can't exactly use them to monitor your place as it will detect movements as indented but no video playback even if it a short video would have been nice. But the app automatically says you need to subscribe at $2.50aud or whatever it was to get basic functionality you get out of the box with other brands. Overall they seem like easy to use cameras. Picture quality quite good.

I have so many of these cams and I love them! It has an free app you can use to see what's going on wherever you've setup the cams. They work great outdoors and indoors. You can flip them 180 degrees upside down if needed and change the setting in the app so they are the right way up. They work in the dark and have motion sensing for recording. Great little cams! Love them.

cameras are great for recording and have great night vision, be mindful if you want recordings saved of your driveway you have to pay a premium in the app
