I have to tell you, being a cook I’ve wanted quality S & P mills for a long time. I just couldn’t justify blowing $200 on ONE mill. Well kids, this is probably the best salt mill I’ve ever held in my hands. I literally (just three minutes ago) took it AND it’s peppermill counterpart out of their cartons and filled it with the sea salt I brought home from Baja Sur, Mexico. I’ve tried the various setting for grind size and they’re better than I’d hoped. It’s got great heft. The balance is superb. It’s grinding ability and capacity are just terrific. Best 80 bucks I’ve spent in a long time. I look forward to using these bad boys for years to come. If you’re wanting a great mill but, like me, the thought of dropping 400 bucks for a S&P mill set makes your head spin…then these White Rhino mills are what you should consider. Was originally looking at getting a Pepper Cannon but the cost was a bit hard to swallow. Ended up finding this gem and am not disappointed in my purchase. Super easy to adjust grind size and clean. Just a couple of cranks yields a ton of pepper making this perfect for when I need to smoke a brisket. This grinder has a nice hefty weighty feel to it and seems like it will last a long time.

It worked pretty well until the ball bearings fell out of the locking mechanism. The company never responded to my request for support information on how to repair it. A company should not advertise customer support if they have no intention of actually doing it. The design of this device is marginal.

These are great - have ordered other options that were cheaper but highly rated. None of them have come close to the quality of these grinders. I bought one for pepper and one for salt. Both excellent.

Heavy solid construction. A little hard to grind. Would be nice if it were taller to hold more peppercorns.

The weight is immediately striking. It feels and looks very strong and well built. The grinding capacity is excellent, with easy adjustment on the bottom. It's very easy to fill (1000x better than the screw on top that loosens all the time, affecting the grinding ...) ultimate refinement, there is a tight cap with silicon o-ring on bottom to avoid mess and keeping the pepper well isolated. By far best price-quality ratio, I will not buy Peugeot again (the last I bought for 100 Euros broke in a couple of weeks and Peugeot claimed it was my fault and sent it back defect - horrible experience) PS : this grinder suits only pepper, not salt.

I love to cook and have always broken previous peper mills I have purchased. I have brought a variety of mills over the years and then purchased this little beauty. As a chef I find its performance brilliant. The burr is stainless steel and has a large circumference so mills peper really well from very fine to course at the turn of the dial at bottom of barrell. This is by far the best peper mill I have used and will not go back to any other type. It will last ages, its solid and heavy and smoothly grinds the pepercorns. I would highly recommend this mill, may be pricey but definitely worth every penny. A great gift for a cook too. Love it.

I have the hexclad grinder and I really like it. Both the salt and the pepper. I have the big set and then I have the miniature set for the table in hexclad both are handy and I use them often. But I wanted something for my camper and I didn’t want to spend the extra money so I bought these. They’re every bit is good. What nice thing is the excellent feel, often your hands are wet when you’re trying to use these things working with meat, they are not slippery. They’re easy to work with and have an excellent grip. They’re really well-made the grind beautifully and I’m highly recommend them to anyone looking for a really good grinder. I do a lot of barbecue so I need to change up the grind a lot. With these it’s simple just as simple as the hex and it’s extremely flexible. Anywhere from nice fine powder to some decent large mesh chunks for things like brisket. They’re extremely heavy, but as much as my other set, overall just really well made and designed. You wouldn’t want to drop one on your toes that’s for sure. OK it’s a copy but not of hexclad or It seems instead to be a copy of MANNKITCHEN, and I suspect that hexclad copied them. There is getting to be more and more copies of these type of grinders out there. I suspect that most of them are pretty good, but I can assure you that this one is. Don’t hesitate. Would I get this instead of hexclad or MANNKITCHEN next time? Absolutely! Do I actually like it better, no for intensive purposes, they do exactly the same thing and are very comparable in every way with exception of shape on the hexclad. Is that hexagon shape pretty good? It makes them about his non-slip as these are. Although I don’t really care about spending more on something like this, and even the MANNKITCHEN is within my budget no problem. There Is just no need t your purpose of life.o. Maybe my next step I will actually go and get. MANNKITCHEN as I think they started all this and probably deserve some to purchase their products. But they really ought to look at their pricing. These are perfect!
