Does what is says - good value
If like me you wondered if this was worth it? Well it has been, the long handle makes it easy to use and covered my rather bumpy lawn (worms and ants) with ease. After a while I should have a more level lawn. The materials it is made of seem to be robust and stay clean. Your choice of material to spread around the lawn will help you with your use of this equipment. The width was something I considered and this wider version seem to help with the levelling and less undulation.Bit of a treat for me but but paid of as I had plenty of energy left after quickly completing the work.

Really good product
I saw lot of mixed reviews for this, so to be specific I bought the 40"...So, I deliberated for a long time about spending the best part of £!50 on some sheet metal. I was worried about build quality and if this would do anything to help my badly rutted lawn. I also worried about the size - would the edges catch/snag, and give me something unusable?Pleased to say the following:Not sure what the build quality complaints are about - seems very solid to me. The metal on the handle very thick. The head is also sturdy - no flexing. I think it might be stainless. It's heavy, so I don't think it's aluminium. The welding also looks decent (wetted all the way through).I'm sure people have different methods, but I mixed top soil and sharp sand (70/30). Put it down on the lawn, and used the rake to spread it. It doesn't snag (the corners are all rounded) and glides over nicely. There's enough weight to compact the mix, and gives you a nice smooth/flat finish in very little time.Looking forward to a nice, flat, lawn in 6 weeks!

Works well
Works well, maybe get the wider one unless your lawn is truly tiny

Good tool for a small lawn
Husband has been using this to help him level our lawn. Has done the trick and he's happy. We only have a very small section of lawn, if you had a larger lawn you'd perhaps want a larger tool...or it may take a while!

weighty well made
A very heavy solid item easy to put together (although instructions are not the best but easy to work out) did the job and spread my top soil ok, only down side was the rubber handle grip slides about very easily and I had to keep adjusting it back in place, all in all good value as appears it will last a very long time.

Nut and bolt missing
I bought this to help level my lawn, but when it turned up the nut and bolt needed to fit the handle to the base was missing, so I had to return it, and use the back of a rake instead. The base didn’t seem heavy enough to level the lawn, but as I couldn’t attach the handle I’m not sure.

Early impressions are that it seems well made
When you screw the three sections of pole together the handle at the end should bend down but unless I am missing something there is no way of orientating this. Also, the rubber sleeves slide off too easily. But the lute works, it’s made of stainless so for £100 it’s good value for money.
