Are these the exact same as: heritage 744 spring action ergo snip?

I don’t know as there is no model number on the package. I bought the same scissor in 2005 and love them for making rag quilts. I would not use anything else. I bought another pair to loan out to friends.

Will using these on other materials aside from fabric dull the blade?

I have used them for rag quilts, felted wool strips for peg looming, & heavy duty elastic. They are advertised as being able to cut vinyl but that must be very light weight. I would not use them for anything else except light weight craft items as yes, they would dull the blades. They are great scissors.

where are these rag quilting made? I know the company is located here in USA but sometimes companies out source.

Just got these. Instead of cutting through 4 cotton and 2 flannel layers, it just bends the fabric. Is 6 layers too much for these snips?

Try taking 'shorter' cuts with the snips. I love my snips, however I've found that 6 - 8 layers can be to challenging for the snips; but they are still 100% better than any other shears I us to use including my Gingher's. Hope this helps!

Perfect too.for the job. Don’t buy anything else.

I bought these to clip a rag quilt. I decided to pay more for a product already highly recommended and I wasn’t disappointed. It cut through a sandwich of 4 layers of fabric and 2 layers of wadding with total ease. A perfect tool for the job.

Very comfortable to use

Very comfortable to use, I have arthritis, and trigger finger, so was worried doing lots of ragging would aggravate the condition,but no, the snips were so easy to use and not much pressure needed, lovely and sharp just the right length of blade for ragging. A bit more expensive than other snips but would highly recomend. Happy sewing.
