Honestly, I don’t find a reason to get anything more expensive. This works perfectly fine with a very quick heat-up, easy manipulation and comes with anything necessary such as a lock and a good length of cable. It is very light as well. The size is neither too big nor small; perfect to straighten your back hair and maybe, protable even when traveling. It does not allow you to manipulate how hot it could be, but it’s hot enough to work well while not too hot to damage your hair. Every aspect of it is just fine and I don’t find anything uncomfortable. Highly recommend if you are looking for an affordable but a fine option.

I received these This afternoon, I'd been out, hair is needing washed , got it damp as was caught in the rain so was frizzy there (evening) wanted to try them out but really wasn't expecting Much tbh though Remington is a good brand only reason I bought them and only 12 pounds....,my hair is thick, slightly wavy, prone to frizz , dry on the ends, lot of cheaper ones can snag or rip my hair, wow!!! I'm actually shocked and Very pleasantly surprised at how Good they are and how well they straightened my hair, so quickly too especially fact only 215° when I'm used to 235° might be better for thicker hair Like mine as can't adjust temperature, these are brilliant though, Nice and lightweight ,slim too which is great for my arthritic hands I'm absolutely delighted with them, wish I'd bought these sooner, think I'll buy another pair for spare ,highly recommend them

These straighteners are ok, they heat up quickly, but I feel they get too hot and sometimes smell of burning. They were cheap and do the job, but not as good as my old ones.

Perfect for my thin hair. Slim design means I can use it fuss free and the heat is also perfect. Not recommended for daily use but as I only use it every now and then this would be perfect. Good price for the appliance too!

Bought as a gift

My old one died on me so I bought this one and it’s great,

It works well on thick hair. However, there is a gap between the plates, so it may not work effectively on thin or baby hairs. You need to straighten a larger section of hair at a time to get good results. Additionally, you have to squeeze the handles quite hard to keep the plates fully closed, which can become tiring when straightening your whole head.
