I've been trying to fill this space in my porch for years and I was going to make my own bench but it just wasn't happening. I couldn't find one the right size and then it occurred to me that I could put two together. I got two 31.5" units and they fit perfectly altho I did have to cut away part of the door frame. I wanted the white unit but I didn't want to highlight the shoes so I went with brown wood look. It looks better than it does in the pictures and I'm happy with it. The build is a little tricky especially if you use glue - like I always do - and it starts dripping. 2 pairs of hands would help to hold the center piece while the bottom is attached. After that it's not too difficult. I left the back off and located it about 3/4" away from the wall. This means that size 12s fit in almost all the way. As usual, do everything up tight but do it carefully and don't go crazy. I predrilled the tiny draw screws and used a small screw driver. Take your time otherwise you'll strip the heads. I had one dowel that wasn't drilled deep enough and it split the veneer. I tried to pull it out and it splintered. I had to drill it out. I should've just sanded the top off. So, overall, very happy with them. Great fit. Good functionality and the small cubbies work for a lot of my shoes which maximizes storage. And because they're wedges in, they're very solid for sitting on.

I purchased this bench because I’m tired of my husband’s shoes being all over the place. I got it this afternoon and set it up within 45 minutes by myself. It came together with ease. The directions have photos and the pieces are very clearly labeled. It is as sturdy as I expected and holds my weight well. The color matches my other espresso pieces perfectly. The shelves could be a little bigger but size 12 mens fit in them like they go into a shoe box. I omitted a shelf to fit boots. This worked perfectly. I would purchase this again.

This storage bench is exactly what I’ve been looking for. I got everyone in the habit of taking off their shoes by the front door, which opens up directly into the living room. Unfortunately, the shoes stayed there in a great big pile and searching for ‘the other shoe’ became a pastime. Nevermind tripping over the shoes that were on the outside edge of the pile. It took my husband and I an hour to put this together on a very warm summer evening. We used a power drill with a screwdriver bit for assembly otherwise we’d still be there two days later. I took off one star because when all was said and done and I put the drawer in, it wouldn’t close all the way. I figured out that the profile of the screw in the back of the drawer track was rounded and raised. Once I replaced it with a flat head screw, it closed perfectly. No, the instructions didn’t indicate that. I am a boy mom and I’ve assembled plenty of Lego kits and other furniture, so I can follow picture diagrams. Bonus to this kit is the extra dowels and screws included. Other than that, the quality is great, it’s very sturdy and it has already made a difference in my living room.

I needed storage in our closet in our Winnebago RV coach. I looked and looked for shelving, but realized that shelving would probably topple over while we were in transit. I stumbled upon this bench and realized it matched the cabinetry perfect and the measurements were spot on! We got it and it was so easy to put together and my husband commented on the quality. We put it in the closet and it fit like a glove! Nothing falls out of it, the only thing that slides open is the little drawer, but that’s OK. Nothing comes out! I’m very very very happy with this bench and when we are done with it in the RV, it will look really cute in our bedroom walk in closet!
