Amazon Essentials Cleanser Face Wash - Salicylic Acid with Ceramides & Vitamin D, 8 fl oz, 1-Pack (Previously Amazon Basics)

A small drop of this face wash cleanser goes a long way and leaves my skin feeling clean and refreshed. No fragrance, smooth texture, good/quality ingredients that aren't harmful to my skin. I have very sensitive skin and am not bothered by this soap at all. In fact, this is now my go-to face wash. It cleans so well, even a full face of makeup, scrubs in easy, washes off clean, and leaves no residue behind. HIghly impressed! Will be continuing to use this product!

TLDR; the dispenser needs work, it's drying, but it works. Apparently, being in peri means you get to experience adolescence, pregnancy, and basically every other stage of your life in its biggest intensity and multiplied by 100. I never really had acne as a teen or as an adult. Peri hit and I have more pimples that my teenager! I already have a pretty extensive skin care routine, so I was already washing my face in the morning, at night, and also making sure to cleanse any time I wore makeup. But it seemed that even doing that, and using toner, and even mid-day wipes with all that extra sweating, I couldn't get the pimples to stop coming. And grrrl were they just showing up daily. I decided to try this because my local Walmart didn't have the CeraVe version of it (here in Hawaii we don't always get the same products) and this was a good price. It did get a little damaged in shipping, but they did package it well, so NBD. The first thing I noticed about this product was that I felt like I had to be the hulk to push this thing down. Now, I know in peri we begin to lose muscle mass and whatnot, but I just feel like I can't get enough leverage to push it all the way down like I would a normal bottle of hand soap. Maybe I just got a bad bottle, maybe I'm just getting peri-weak, who knows anymore?! The second thing I noticed is that it really dries out my face. After I wash, I pat dry and continue on with my morning routine. Within a minute or two, I can feel the tightness in my face because there is no more oils left. Which I suppose is great, because it's "working" but also not great if you don't have a good skin care routine to follow. For me, its not a big deal since I have several other products including a moisturizing SPF (can't forget this ladies!!) that addresses this concern. The third, and MOST IMPORTANT thing, is that after a couple days, I stopped seeing pimples and the ones I had cleared up. Could my pimples have been one of those seasonal weird things associated with peri? Or was it the product? My money is on the product. I've been using it every morning for the last 3 weeks and have had one tiny pimple that resolved in one day. Thats so much better than what it had been for a few weeks. I am happy with this product for sure and would recommend it to any other peri girl out there losing her mind with these pimples. Clearer skin will give you back one percent control over something in your life, and sometimes that's all we need to make it to the next moment. This face wash is great! I really wanted something with Salicylic Acid, and the other name brands were just too expensive. I like that there's no fragrance with this cleanser, and it makes my skin feel much cleaner afterward. It does dry out your skin a bit, but that's honestly what I was looking for since my face can get kind of oily. The downside to this is the pump bottle. I have really struggled to use it. Not a fan of the bottle design. But overall, I would recommend purchasing!

Great value. Doesn’t irritate skin. Both my son and I use it, he has oily/combo skin and mine tends to be on the drier side and it works for both of us! Highly recommend.

Love this product! Leaves a clean feeling, little if any fragrance, and can be used efficiently as a body wash too!

Was advertised to get rid of the small white bumps under the skin, but did not seem to make a difference. Left my skin feeling dry & leathery.

Excellent face wash. Bland packaging but product suds up nicely. Amazon Basics Face Wash comes in a no frills bottle design and graphics but the face wash inside is pretty good in my opinion. Only issue is the pump height is short and sluggish to get product out. I would like to see refill options in the future for Amazon Basics products or a bottle exchange program.
