ZippoLighter: 1935 Replica Engraved - Brushed Chrome 81319

I'd expected something more rustic in appearance. I suppose because this is a 1935 replica, I expected it to be a little less spiffy. It's a nice shiny square shaped lighter. The finish is basically Zippo's polished chrome with an etched front. It's very nice, but not the "beater" I expected.

I really like this lighter. I will use it daily. The hinge is strong and it lights on the first flick. The engraving on the front of the case is very light. It’s not that noticeable when I’m looking at it. The back has no engraving. I’m not sure if it’s supposed to but the paper inside the box that was included says decorative diagonal grooves on front and back of case so that is what I’m going off of. The engraving being so light and it’s missing on the back is the only reason for the 4 stars. The zippo is a touch smaller than the normal lighters made today. 1/8” shorter to be exact. I like the 3 barrel hinge and the hollow rivet on flint wheel. As a collector I absolutely love the box it came in. That’s the first time I’ve seen a box like that so I’m sure it’s because it’s a replica lighter. I guess sometimes the things in the past just seem to be better. Overall I’m a little bummed about the light engraving and the fact it’s missing all together on the back but I’m still pretty happy with the purchase. Now I’m wondering which lighter will be next. lol.

Beautiful. Classic. Has a slightly smaller dimension than a modern Zippo…and I like that.

Looks great in the photos on Amazon, but the engaving is weak laser engraving that has barely any depth. Would recommend saving money and just ordering a regular 1935 Replica lighter.
