I picked this up to keep my M&P 2.0 and my 642-2 secure but close by on the nightstand. With kids around, I needed something safe but quick to open just in case. It’s a solid box that does exactly what I need without being overly complicated to set up. Pros: • The emergency USB-C port is a huge lifesaver. If the battery dies and you happen to lose the physical keys, you can just plug it into a power source and still use your fingerprint to get in. • It easily fits both my 9mm and my .38 special with a little room to spare for extra ammo. • The fingerprint scanner is super fast, and it's great that you can mute the beeping so it opens silently in the dark. Cons: • The interior LED light and the front screen display only stay on for about 10 seconds. I kind of wish they stayed lit just a bit longer. • It only comes with two screws for hard-mounting. You might need to supply a bit of your own hardware if you want to really bolt it down permanently to a heavy piece of furniture. Overall, it's a sturdy, well built little safe that gives me peace of mind. It’s definitely worth it if you’re looking for a reliable, quick-access spot for a couple of everyday handguns. And at the price point, it’s a good pick up.

I bought this safe as it was on sale because there was a recall on my other safe (Awesafe, and they never bothered to reply). Not only is this safe cheap, but it is super functional. The screen is a nice touch, don't really care for it but it's there. The passcode is 6 digits and the fingerprint sensor is extremely responsive. Another thing I like about the fingerprint sensor is that even if you miss the mark with your finger you can retry and it will instantly re-read your print. My previous safe would have me waste precious seconds for a retry. The safe is very quiet when it opens and you have the option to mute the beeping sound. Set up is really easy. It's a press or hold for setup. You can plug it in a power source or have it run on the batteries. There's also a wire that you can run through your safe and attach to a piece of furniture (in case you don't feel like screwing in your safe) Ample space inside with some lighting, I am able to fit 2 compacts and a spare mag for each. Overall, extremely satisfied with this safe and considering it was on sale, I'm glad I didn't pass it up. Will buy again should the need for another safe arise.

I finally decided to buy this one, most of the reviews were positive but there were some that complained about sometimes fingerprint not reading and not opening. Sometimes reviews can be confusing as the feedback is mostly given within few days to few weeks, feedback focus on shipping, delivery, customer service these are all great, what about quality durability, can the product last? so my review will include how the product is functioning after a year. I agree with the reviews this product is great, good quality, looks and feels great, love the blue light. I do not have any issue with using fingerprint to open it, I did experience few times where it did not open but is mainly when you do not place your finger properly, either too fast or your finger is in an angle where it did not read. I place finger properly and opens immediately. I have been using this gun safe box to store my Sig Sauer 9mm, fits perfect, never fails to open, works great. Overall, I am very happy with this product and I do recommend if anyone is skeptical. Helps me feel comfortable gun is in safe place from my kids.

Works perfectly. Contacted customer service (turned out to be my fault) and they responded the same day. They went beyond my expectations. I definitely do recommend.

I bought this safe in seven months ago. The fingerprint reader was always finicky and this past week just stopped working altogether and wouldn't illuminate at all. The keypad was still functional. I e-mailed Holewor and they promptly sent a warranty replacement. The replacement seems like it's better quality and has a USB connection that will allow you to power the safe with your phone to get temporary access in the event the battery dies. That's a good feature. Now I have two of these and will use the old one as a spare to store another pistol. Customer service was prompt on the replacement, so I was happy with that. Jury is still out on long term durability. The safe is easy to set up.

My likes about this safe: The lock mechanism operates fairly quiet as to not alert a home intruder. The biometric button and anti-theft cable are on the side of the safe that I prefer. The blue LED interior light gives a nice ambiance that isn't too bright. The digital display of time, temperature, humidity and battery life is a really nice feature. What would I like better about this safe? The security cable should be thicker for a safe that's for home use. This comes with the same size cable for the portable HOLWAR case that I also have. I'm using a nylon lock nut instead of the provided fastener so the only way this cable can be removed is to cut the cable (I don't want to drill holes on the top of my night stand). Next, I would like if it came with padding under the lid. I purchased some foam rubber padding and spray adhesive, cut it to fit and applied it myself. Having padding under the lid eliminates noise and protects your contents if it accidentally bumps the lid while removing in a hurry. It bothers me a bit that I had to do that myself instead of coming that way from the factory as it should. The two other safes I own have padding under the lid, including the portable HOLWAR safe that I also own. Also, there is only one latch for this safe and it would be way more tamper proof if it had two. The other safe I own that's the same size as this from a different manufacturer has two latches in the front and is CA DOJ certified. It was also $10 cheaper than this one, and It also has a thicker cable than this one. Finally, I don't like how there's a big bold logo on the top of this safe. It really isn't necessary and it grabs too much attention. It jumps out at you and says "Hey look at me!" but many of these safe companies are also guilty of doing this. Hello, you don't want a safe to be noticed by a thief because that's the first thing they'll go after! A more subdued logo would be nice so I'm considering writing over it with a Sharpie. In conclusion, I almost gave 4 stars for this safe but I knew what I was getting beforehand and bought it anyway. It's still a really nice safe and I don't regret buying it. Don't get me wrong, I really like it, but I would like it even more if it came with those improvements I mentioned.

The safe is mainly made of steel and looks very rugged and can last for a long time. The building quality is also very good. Setting it up is very intuitive and only took me mess than 5 minutes---Although I only set up the figure print opening function. I do not think I need the digits passcode. The figure print sensor is very responsive and the safe opens very quickly with no problem. I placed the safe inside my nightstand. It fits in very well. The inner space is big enough for 2 full size pistols, a flashlight and several extra mags. There is an interior lighting inside the safe so each time you open the safe, the light turns on. Overall, this seems to be a high-quality product at a very reasonable price.
