brilliant for beginners and masters...
as well as a very sturdy build, this plastic ocarina sounds beautiful (its not as good as ceramic ocarinas but certainly worth it for 17 of your fine English pounds.)The product pictures seem to make the ocarina look smaller than it is, meaning it may look harder to play but it fits well in the hands.the link prvided below shows the original product page containing two videos of the instrument being played. as well a nice instrument, the ocarina is a nice collectors item to have if (like me) you love the Legend of Zelda series. the box is rather pretty in the fact it bears some nice art of Link, Saria and the Deku Sprout. it also contains a small spelling mistake on the front, but nothing to really worry about. all in all a nice sounding instrument and a fancy collectors item. there are better ocarinas but this is probably the best plastic you will find, and worth it instead of paying out 60 odd quid for a ceramic type.[...]

My Brother Loved This
My brother loves learning new instruments. However, he is never really serious about any of them. He'll play them a lot when he first gets them, but after he can play a few tunes, he'll only pick it up once in a while. Therefore, when getting him a Zelda ocarina, I didn't want to buy an expensive ceramic version. But I still wanted it to sound good and be durable! I can happily say that this ocarina fulfils both requirements. Yes, it is made of plastic, but the plastic is very sturdy, thick and solid. And the sound is beautiful. I would definitely recommend this ocarina for any Zelda fans who are interested in getting started with a new instrument. Then if they are really serious about it, they can consider getting a ceramic version. My only problem: from reading the description, I thought I would get a songbook with this product. I did not. I needed to buy the songbook separately. This product only came with two sample tunes (one Zelda tune, and one Kumbaya). So just forewarning any other potential buyers.

Not bad for what it is
It arrived promptly, and is presented in a nice zelda box, with a little sheet music, though some of its in german so I can't read it.. I chose this as my first ocarina, and i'll certainly be able to learn how to play with it. It has a sturdy build and the notes sound fairly ok, although the higher notes are not tuned and are whistlely. It sounds a lot like a recorder, but its what you'd expect from something made of plastic.

Well worth the money!
I've always been a fan of the Zelda series, and as a flute-player I've been desperate to own the beautiful ocarina featured in The Ocarina of Time. This ocarina is the perfect ocarina for a beginner - easy to play and cheap. It's made out of plastic, which means the sound quality is not the best, but it still sounds very nice. The instructions that come with the [very pretty] box are a bit vague, so I suggest that you go on YouTube for some tutorials if you decisde to purchase this ocarina.

High quality for low price
It is definitely not a cheap plastic toy, it's a high quality musical instrument that I would reccomend to anyone.

No songbook included
This is a very nice, high quality ocarina. However, the product description is misleading - it says 'The Zelda Songbook and the CD show you how to play the Zelda songs'. But no songbook or CD is included, just a very simple fingering chart and a few hymns.

Not clay, but still solid and with a good sound
I got this for my Zelda-loving son, and he has gotten quite good at playing it. It comes in a box with a booklet with fingering chart and notes for the Zelda theme song and other songs. Solid product that will last. Beautiful sound and useful booklet included.
