Finally i can filet my salmon without the fish sliding all over my cutting board. I bought the extra large which was perfect for salmon. I plan to buy a regular size one to leave at my cabin for processing smaller trout and walleye.

Actually works as advertised, processing salmon is way easier, vs when done on a cutting board

It's a good little mat. Bigger than I thought it was going to be, but that's my fault for not looking out the measurements. The description was accurate. It does help keep other surfaces clean and is easy to clean itself.

I was skeptical about whether This mat would hold my catch in place to filet it. It works amazing. I usually clean my fish on a cutting board on a stainless-steel table in the yard. not anymore. This mats flat side lays flat to the table and holds very well were you put it. The other side has scale like ribs pointing upwards that does an awesome job at holds your fish in place. No more chasing my cutting board or fish all over the table.I don't scale most of the fish I catch so the hand scaler won't get much use. the only issue I had was cutting the meat off the skin. The mat has enough give I left a little meat on the skin, I will chalk that up to learning curve. Clean up was just as easy, just rinse off, maybe use a little dish soap. this mat is flexible enough to roll up and put away. A little pricey I think but so much better then I have ever used.

This is a terrific product and would make an excellent gift for any fisherman. I really like that it is lightweight, portable and so easy to clean. Simply rinse and throw it in the dishwasher to clean and sanitize for the next use. It is also extremely safer to use your filet knife with this non-slip mat. I highly recommend this.

I like this non-slip mat. It keeps fish secure while filleting. This is a better option for home use than a cutting board that gets slick before getting to the second side of the fish. It is easy to clean and store as well.

I have seen these mats used by the guides we use when we do our yearly ice fishing trip. They worked so well and these guides know what works and what doesn't so I know this will be a great addition to our own fish cleaning house up at our lake place. The size of these are great so you can use them for small pan fish or larger walleye or trout and salmon. This comes with a stainless steel scaler which is nice because we like to scale our bluegills and crappies.These roll up nicely for easy storage. To clean just flush under running water and and a soapy brush. At $43.99 for the XL size you are getting a good value if you clean a lot of fish.

The add would make you think it resists cuts...not so. Mine was ruined after 1 use
