The bottle I got was filled to the brim! The pepper is not spicy as chili flakes, but more like flaked paprika. You can toss this with almost anything, marinade it with chicken, toss it with pasta and other things. There’s a flavor with it but I can’t quite describe it, though it is good.

Who knew that I needed this spice in my life? I stumbled across this after watching Next Level chef. I love the fact that it provides that pepper flavoring without a lot of the heat. I do love good spice but sometimes you want the flavor without the heat. It is a bit pricey but so far I have found that it is good value for the price that was charged. I have found Aleppo in other stores, even Wal-Mart. I'm not sure about the quality of those but when this one is done, I will definitely be looking at other brands for comparison.

Aleppo Pepper originated in Aleppo, Syria. It has mild heat as far as pepper goes but has a nice earthy and robust flavor. Goes nice on an egg and cheese omelet, topping avocado toast, or sprinkled on some chicken thighs before they hit the grill. Very versatile and very tasty. Wonderful addition to my spice cabinet.
