All six episodes from the BBC3 comedy series written and performed by Jocelyn Jee Esien. A time-served stand-up comedian as well as a TV presenter and actor, Jocelyn plays over 40 characters in this wickedly naughty sketch show.

This is so funny we need a series two BBC please !!!
This show is excellent, stumbled on to it quite literally as i have never seen 3 non blondes (thought they were a band :-) anyways Jocelyn has all the talent to take away Lenny Henry's crown of being top british black comic and that's saying something. The ease of which she can move from African to West Indian characters mixed in with the British urban environment e.g the Nigerian bus driver who suddenly adds cockney ryhming slang just has to be seen. There are also some skecthes from Jiffy the traffic warden, Sharonista the school girl and Gladys who hates men. The US president is also a hoot.Check out the Wikipedia page its wicked!

But I like it and I'm glad to have been able to ...
Recently got into this show after discovering 3 Non Blondes on Youtube. I had never seen either series when they first aired on TV. It's probably not to everyone's taste. But I like it and I'm glad to have been able to buy both this and 3 Non Blondes on DVD as they haven't been shown on TV lately.

I'm in love with Jocelyn Jee-Esien!Really can't understand why the show never quite took off and never got the attention and acclaim it deserves. Unlike 3 Non Blondes this seemed to pass under the radar. A shame really as Jocelyn is a true talent and deserves to be up there with Lucas & Walliams and Catherine Tate and their charachter sketch-making ilk. She should've been up for a Comedy Award or two for sure but I can't see them ever letting her quite fit in. I'm sure if she were a middle-class white male comic who went to Uni, made geeky references to Star Wars and smarmy references to politics, pretended to be a Cockney and had her face in the celebrity rags all the time she'd be more accepted or would be seen as more "cool" to like. But she shouldn't have to.Most of the creative team (director, producer, make-up...etc) worked on Little Britain. Maybe they should've milked that factor to get more publicity. If you're a fan of Little Britain this show should be up your street. She's basically a black, female, one-woman version of it with a great supporting cast.I really hope this gets picked up for another series or that Jocelyn gets another vehicle to expose her to a wider public. She's a true one-off. Wonderful idiosyncracies, observations and her facial expressions and contortions are genius. In the same way that "Yeh but, no but" and "Bovered!" became catchphrases aped by the public I think that adding "Ohhhh" at the end of sentences should become a thing too!Buy it!
