Naruto always puts on a good show!
Naruto is sent to prison for a crime he didn't commit. So Naruto has to clear his name while watching his back from the other prisoners. Also there are some awesome fighting scenes. I love the soundtrack on this movie. I've always loves Naruto so maybe I'm biased. The reason i didn't give it 5 stars is because i like Naruto Shippuden movie 6 better because it has a amazing plot and i think being punished for a crime he didn't commit plot has been done before but Naruto does it bigger, better and more inspiring. If you want to brake out of prison do like Naruto.

An Average Naruto Movie.
When it comes to movies based on very successful anime's there's always going to be the ones that are good, the ones okay, then the ones that are bad. I think some people can agree that the first Naruto movie is by far the best, the second being not as good, the third being the worst of the original movies, the first Shippuden movie to be an improvement of the last two, the second being about the same, the third being an excuse to punch things, and the forth being better than the last but nothing that stands out. So, what's the case for this Naruto movie? Once again, it's nothing that stands out.STORYNaruto is framed for trying to assassinate the Raikage to which the Hidden Leaf Village sends Naruto to Hozuki Castle, the inescapable prison, where he has to find a way out in order to find and catch the person that framed him. The plot for this movie is you're typical one, but it does have a little twist to it which I won't spoil. But what I can say is that sometimes it tries a bit too hard to dramatic; if you've seen this movie then you might know what I'm talking about. Other than that the movie is kind of bland, and nothing original. It's a sort of theme that's been done time and time again. The only upsides to this is the way new character's are progressed in the short amount of time, and some amusing scenes that all Naruto movies have.CHARACTERS Honestly, there's only two character's worth mentioning and that is Mui and Ryuzetsu, because we don't really learn anything about Maroi. If you've watched Naruto then you already know the rest of the characters, if not then I wonder why you're looking here in the first place. Mui is the warden of the prison and is cold most of the time. He has the potential to be a decent bad guy for the movie, and we see him some cool moves, but then the movie goes into cliche Shonen based movie. Again, if you've watched the movie you'll know what I mean. Ryuzetsu is an interesting character that seem's to start off well, but then she becomes another character that was in love with a dead man. At least she used to have feelings for someone, I guess. I mean I can't really complain about her character too much since we had the girl who was in love with some creepy old guy in the second movie. Anyway, Ryuzetsu is a mix of interesting but has the tendency to become another cliche character. Will say now that she is better than some other character we've had in other Naruto movies, and is one of the most memorable, but I just feel like we've character's like her so many times before. She doesn't even stand out that much to make me forgive the cliche character. While I'm at it I'll also mention that her eye's look like the Renegan. At first I thought that she did have them, or that there would be an interesting explanation at some point. Which there is, but it doesn't explain why her eye's look the way they do. This is something that can be over looked easily, but an explanation as to why they look like the Renegan would've been nice.ANIMATION & SOUND This Naruto movie has the best animation than the previous movies, and it look's great during fight sequences, but the problem is that art look's bland. It might be the team wanting to make everything look dark, but the art doesn't seem to work well with the world of Naruto in places, especially when you have great animation but dull backgrounds. I will give it points though for being a contrast to the colourful things Naruto is used too. The music is pretty decent, but like most movies based on ongoing anime's there are track's that are re-mixes of already existing tracks. But at least it also brings some decent new tracks that are only in this movie. Bottom line; it's a standard Naruto movie soundtrack. So, if you already like the music in Naruto then you might like this, but be warned because there are some awesome rock tracks in this movie. In terms of the cast then people shouldn't be surprised that the already existing cast of Naruto is as good as ever. Please don't ask me to name them because there's too many names. If you want to know who's in it then go to imdb.com, behindthevoiceactors.com, or sites like that. But I will mention the people who voice the character's that are only in this movie. First off we have Andrew Kishino (Saw Gerrera in Star Wars The Clone Wars) who provides an easily forgettable role, next is the legendary Matthew Mercer (Melvin Voyager in Fullmetal Alchemist The Sacred Star of Milos, Levi in Attack on Titan, and Leon S. Kennedy in the Resident Evil franchise) as the bad guy Mui, and he provides a decent one at that, but I think he's better as the good guy. Carolyn Keranen (Caska in Berserk, and Mami Tomoe in Puella Magi Madoka Magica) provides a decent take on Ryuzetsu, and play's her part well. We also have special guest appearances from Grant George (Keiichi Maebara in Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni, AKA When They Cry, and Izuru Kira in Bleach) as Satori, and Bryce Papenbrook (Kirito in Sword Art Online, Rin Okumura in Blue Exorcist, and Eren Jaeger in Attack on Titan) as Muku.OVERALLLike all Naruto movies they have they're up's and down's. Non of them are terrible, but there are some that are worse than other's. This Naruto movie could have been better, but it was bland and cliche. If you're a Naruto fan then this is worth watching just so that you can have you're own opinion of it, but you can easily skip it. I recommend that all Naruto fan's look into the movie, but I would have to give it a recommendation to stream rather than buy. If you're a die hard Naruto then I think you'll definitely be pre-ordering this anyway, because, let's face it, all Naruto movies aren't that bad. Now with the fifth Naruto Shippuden movie (Eighth in Naruto overall) out of the way people will have to wait for Road to Ninja Naruto The Movie, which seems highly promising since it's been conceived by Masashi Kishimoto, the creator of the Naruto manga. However, if some fan's have already watched it because they prefer sub's over dub's then you'll have to wait for The Last Naruto The Movie, which is coming out in Japanese cinema's on December 6th 2014.
