Frigoverre Classic Jug, 33.75 oz - TealClear, Set of 2

2024: For those who say they do not seal well. The lid cannot be pushed on. It is a gentle placement and then twist to lock on and seal. All 9 of mine work perfectly. You need both hands to hold the pitcher, lid and turn to seal. I always have ready homemade decaf cold brew, decaf sweet tea! Easy to clean, Easy to tell what's inside, one hand carry, one hand pour, and fit in the refrigerator in the door or on the beverage shelf. 2025 Update: I love them so much! They are now the only pitchers we own. I gave away my other pitchers. 2026 Update: I Love, Love, Love, Love the 33.75 size, they are the best!

I really like these jugs; they look and feel sturdy and hermetically seal. With summer in full swing and coming back from my morning constitutional, a cup of hot coffee was not desirable. I turned to cold brew but needed a place to securely store a liter of coffee. Many people simply left the brew in the actual brewing pot, but there was no seal to the lid on my Hario. The coffee could pick up refrigerator odors, oxidize and lose their flavor in a few days. Enter Luigi Bormioli and their beautiful glassware to the rescue. I never imagined that Bormioli would make something like this, much different than their carafes. I have been an admirer and purchaser of Bormioli glassware for quite some time. These jugs don’t have the elegance of their glassware and stemware, but they are not crudely designed. Thank God for Italian designing. I like that it is a hermetically sealed jug that preserves the freshness of my coffee. These jugs are easy to seal by twisting the inner part of the lid. I like that it does seal easily and securely and does not leak when upside down. While I don’t plan on using the jug upside down, it indicates it is a hermetic seal. From what I have seen and read, some do not use the two-stage seal correctly. Turn the inner section fully counter-clockwise, place the lid atop the jug, turn the inner section about 90 degrees clockwise, while holding the outer section, and it’s hermetically sealed. The only problem I have with these is that the lip does not apparently protrude enough to make this a dripless pour. However, a longer lip would be a vulnerable part of this otherwise sturdy jug. While I have put the glass jug in the dishwasher, I will not put the plastic lid with its O-ring in a hot, chemical bath. I clean the lid by hand. This may be a frequently returned item, I won’t be.

I had a pitcher like this and loved it so much I searched for another. These came in a 2-pack, which is great. The glass is strong and thick, very sturdy. I love that the square shape fit nicely I the door of my refrigerator. The handle is easy to grip and pour from. The best is the top. It takes only a little practice to put the lid on, hold it, and twist the inner part to “lock” the lid in place. There is no leakage with such a great lid. Undo it in the same way to pour, or fill. I use them to hold homemade elderberry juice, and iced tea. The top can get discolored from the elderberry juice, but when googling the brand and bottle, I found how easy it is to disassemble the lid for thorough washing. This is a wonderful pitcher in every way. I highly recommend it.

The lid doesn't not fit in the jug, so there is no airtight seal. Bad product. Also, one of the two jugs arrived shattered in the box. I'm returning it

Both jugs came intact, tightly protected in bubble wrap. I'm happy with the size and the lids are great. Twist left (counter-clockwise) to loosen it and when you want to seal it twist right (clockwise). Just remember lefty loosey righty tighty. The top part of the lid may pop off, but it's easy to click it back in place. Great jugs and I love the clean design.

Love the look, but it's not always airtight. I like the heaviness but that may not be for everyone. Love the square-ness.

Quality of materials and manufacturing is excellent. The lid design, materials, construction is the best that I have used. I'm glad that you get two in the order. We buy a quart of Half and Half for Coffee and this size is perfect. When one runs out we switch over to the other pitcher and place the used one in the dishwasher with heated dry. Clean and sanitary. Simple efficient enjoyable system.

The glass is great but the lid could be better. It does seal but you have to actually remove to pour and there’s an odd little strip on lid that pops off and I have yet to figure out why it’s even there. Note- I didn’t know till I bought these and read the instructions that come with them , I know to not pour something hot in glass unless it’s a canning jar made for that but I did not know these , despite being what feel like heavy glass you are to not pour something already cold in them it says !! It states to only pour a room temperature liquid in the glass so I was going to use them for milk but seems odd to have to let it come to room temperature!! So looks like I won’t be using them for milk and juice after all . These instructions need to be posted on the product description so people know this prior to purchasing

They are the perfect size for me. They are simple, and I like them that way. I don’t want them to be the center of attention during a meal. I like the beauty of their simplicity. The thickness of the glass is good. The handle is good. The suction cover works. I love that both the brand name and the word ITALY are at the bottom of the pitcher. I recommend these pitchers. One came broken, no issue to return. But they’re very nice jugs.
