Slayed? [Deluxe CD]

It's a shame these guys didn't catch on in the States. Great fun Rock n Roll that should be played at every party

First album I ever owned. I still spin the vinyl from time to time, and it always sounds kinda rough, but like nothing else. "I don' mind", and "I wont let it 'appen agen" are two really great songs that deserve more attention. You need to crank this on a decent sound system with decent subs for maximum effect. Enjoy!

I picked this up in a record shop in Benidorm, Spain and it turned out to be a great album. For a bunch of glam boys, they really could rock. There are some great cuts on there that have almost all shown up on other albums, to the point that I am not sure if this album is an original or was already a compilation even though it came out in their heyday. I was surprised to hear the nod from Quiet Riot, but they just couldn't compare to the fun and spirit of these four guys. I suppose for the metal or hard rock connoisseur, these guys were fluff but I saw a lot more in them than that. Sure wish I could have seen them live.I still play Gudby' to Jane on the guitar. I'm glad to see that thirty some years later, they are still plugging away.Highly recommended.

Slade es parte de mi infancia, pero con el recuerdo de esta gran banda algunos de sus récords han comenzado a desvanecerse. Estas reediciones (con extra) de canciones reviven la memoria y te hacen consciente de lo influyente que fue la banda Slade, no solo la banda de singles, como a veces se les llama. Espero que continúen con esto y que sigan algunos de sus discos más difíciles de encontrar.

It's Slade there is nothing more to be said. If it is Slade it HAS to be brilliant. There has yet to be a bad Slade track. As Slade albums go it is definitely one of the best ever. I just wish that they would release a cd with all the 'b' sides on and that I'd bought 'Return To Base' when I first saw it.

Meine persönliche Meinung: Was soll an dieser 2022 Slade Ausgabe luxuriös sein.Die Bezeichnung deluxe ist irreführend. Für mich ist es eine herbe Enttäuschung. Identisch mit der Salvo CD aus 2006, nur die CD Hülle anders, remaster von Tim Turan, 2006 und 2022 klanglich dasselbe. Ich habe beide CDs verglichen, beide loudness war, beide sind identisch, manchmal kriege ich schon nach ein paar Minuten Kopfschmerzen, es ist nur laut, beide. 2022 ist nur re-issue Ausgabe, also keine Klangverbesserung, wie ich gehofft habe. Wer die 2006 Ausgabe schon hat, hat praktisch auch 2022 Ausgabe und Neuanschaffung lohnt sich nicht. Komisch nur, dass bei Amazon UK diese Slayed 2022 Ausgabe als Deluxe Edition mit 2 CDs gepriesen wird…
