Melnor MiniMax Spike Sprinkler, 4000 Sq Ft: 360°, Flow, Width, Range Adjust

I purchased this because I have a narrow row of plants and flowers that need to be watered. I needed something I could use with a timer to get that area (and only that area). This is really straight forward to use - you can control the power of the flow, the "width" of the spray, and then how "long" back and forth it goes. I had my wife turning off and on as I ran in and adjusted settings back and forth. It took 2-3 minutes to set up. The spike is a coated metal and it looks pretty durable. It also goes quite far. Can't speak to long term use but as of initial writing very happy with the value of this.

I saw one of these in a neighbor's yard. He was watering the thin strip of grass from a sidewalk to the curb. I was impressed that it was able to stay within the grass and not water the street and the curb like most arc type water sprinklers do. Well I thought this was sort of a spendy water sprinkler, I decided to purchase it anyway. I treat it like gold! I simply love that it has the adjustability to enable you to have a vertical spray as well as broader spray adjustments, for watering a bigger yard space. This will be money well spent!

Best hose sprinkler for large or awkward areas - big spray range. Quite adjustable for width (both sides) and throw, as well as water pressure. Seems quite durable over time. The go-to sprinkler for big rectangular areas. No leaks with proper installation (use the hose gasket…). Manual rotation, width, length and pressure adjustments work well. Spike can be shallow for long reach, deep in ground for shorter.

Bought one in the past. Lawn spike was made of plastic. This one has a more durable metal spike. Love all the adjustments. Horizontal, vertical and strength (distance) makes it easy to put in several places on my lawn. Recommend It.

I really like this sprinkler! It’s easy to water any space, shape, hill or flat area. Very adjustable! I dropped it on the cement and it fell into pieces. I was easily able to put it back together and it works fine.

I have many gardens - most odd shapes. I have tried a bunch of sprinklers over the years. Some years I have had 2 or 3 just to fit a space. I bought this one and then bought another one. The settings were bit confusing at first due to the flexibility it provides. I learned after the 2rd or 3rd time how to set it so it covered only the area I wanted. I have used them all summer and it has made watering so much easier. I highly recommend if you want to have control over where you water.

I bought this to replace another geared sprinkler that had a circular pattern. The adjustments you can do on this are impressive, but the most impressive thing is the coverage area. Set at full everything, water flow, wide pattern, full side to side movement is where this thing really shines for me. It covers and area that I was having to split into two movements of my old sprinkler, and I was expecting that to mean I would need to leave it running twice as long in order to get the same ground saturation. That does not seem to be the case, while I need to let it run longer in one spot, it's definitely not double the time, so it saves both effort and time to do all the watering I need to do. Seems to be built to last and comes with a limited lifetime warranty from the company. Looking at what else they have to offer, it appears they take the whole watering thing seriously and if this proves to hold up I will be looking at some of their other products to purchase. The adjustable square pattern is also very nice as I can move it around to other parts of the yard or garden and set it up where there's very little overlap, unlike using circular sprinklers. At first I was a little put off by the price, but now I think it was well worth it for the savings of time,effort, and more efficient coverage patterns.

GOOD: The sprinkler itself is good. It can water a large area (with no wind) without having to constantly move it. The customization of width and length is also really nice. It's light weight. Controls are easy to adjust. I've use it for 2 years and so far it's held up nicely. BAD:If there's wind though, don't expect the water to go where you want it too. The quick stop attachment is great in theory, but it does seal to the sprinkler, I'm always getting sprayed by it, and if you do the quick stop, the sprinkler just drops off. That part is kind of annoying.

Nice sprinkler but leaks from everywhere. I’ve tightened the connections and checked everything. Maybe mine was shipped without a seal or two? Not ideal.
