Fallen Fruits LH119 Doorstop with Handle,Gray

Bought for my 96 year old father to keep his kitchen outside door from closing in the warmer weather. Because of his age and lack of mobility I wanted something that was effective but would not damage either him or anything else if it fell or toppled over. It also had a handle which enables him to reach it and it has a manly appearance- he’s not a cute -furry- animal -door stop -kinda person!! Both he and I are very pleased with it.

This is a very handy doorstop- you can reach the loop to carry it without having to bend down too far. Even better is it doesn't really hurt when you trip over it, unlike the cast iron one I used to have. A nice simply non-fussy design that goes well with my contemporary kitchen. It hasn't leaked any sand or whatever, and the type of fabric it's made of does not stick fluff and hair to it which is an important feature in my house full of dogs, cats and chickens.It is heavy enough not to allow the doors to move in the wind too, and yet not so heavy you can't move it with your foot when you want to.

Good door stop. Stays in it's place.

Does what it says. Weighty enough to hold open our very heavy door.

Buyer Beware! The measurement given for height of this object is 26.9 cm. Not quite true! The measurement (that was critical to us) from the base to the top of the 'heavy' and solid part of the door stop (which actually holds the door open) is 17 cm. This is 9.9 cm shorter then we had anticipated. Ok, the object is good and it works but check your required measurement carefully as for us, being that we wanted it for a back door and a required height from the ground of 25 cm, we now have to use a brick underneath the door stop as well.
