Quick drive, mine thermal throttled a lot with the stock heatsink. Replaced with a new one and turns out they'd misplaced the thermal paste so it wasn't in contact with the chips on the pcb so if there is very high temperatures at idle check the thermal paste

AVOID, AVOID - Bought, delivered and failed immediately when attempted to initialise on MAC. Returned and Replacement bought….same story. Very promising speed offered BUT you have to deliver a working product. Tech suppport offered limited help (almost turn it off and back on again) which included needing a windows computer (but I’m ringing about a MAC!). Might be slower but maybe try Samsung 990 series…..

Eine Information welche nirgendwo zu finden ist und auch nicht vom Hersteller-Support beantwortet werden konnte, war ob sich der Kühler von der SSD entfernen lässt und nicht verklebt ist. Da zum Zeitpunkt des Reviews die Variante mit Kühler rund 70,- € günstiger ist, als das Modell ohne Kühler, bin ich das Risiko eingegangen und habe die Version mit Kühler gekauft. Wer etwas Fingerspitzengefühl und das passende Bitset hat, kann den Kühler problemlos entfernen und die SSD auf Mainboards einsetzen die einen eigenen Kühler haben. In einem 30 Minuten Lasttest blieb die SSD mit dem Mainboard Kühler unter 70°C und somit deutlich unterhalb der Temperaturen welche die Leistung der SSD einbrechen lassen. Für mich aktuell die beste PCIe 5.0 NVMe SSD am Markt, wenn nur der Preis nicht so abgehoben wäre. Warum die Variante ohne Kühler teurer verkauft wird, weiß wohl nur der Hersteller. Möglicherweise weil die Variante ohne Kühler die Version ist, welche häufiger benötigt wird.

Well died after only 20 days of use. Even that on the new year's eve. What a way to start off the new year. Trying to claim warranty but no avail. The only option with Amazon is to return item as the product support page has nothing. I don't want to return, I need a replacement. Someone please help.

I purchased a new computer and it only came with a single 1TB SSD.. Considering I'm a massive gamer I knew immediately it was going to be an issue.. I settled on an External drive with a fair bit of memory 8 TB's and that filled my needs for a while, but I noticed that some games had stuttering and lag, which considering the specs on my system shouldn't have been happening.. RTX4090, 64 GB of ram, etc etc etc etc.. So I narrowed down the likely causes to the External HDD, so I knew I needed to remedy that situation asap.. After searching around I settled on the Crucial T700,, highly rated, and reviewed.. The price is hefty but gaming isn't a cheap hobby, if you want to play like a pro, you gotta pay like a pro.. The install was super easy, plug and play pretty much, the only issue arose from trying to format the drive for use.. after a half hour and numerous youtube videos I discovered that I had forgotten to name the drive, after feeling like an idiot, I had my harddrive installed and ready to roll.. Download speeds have never been faster, I've always had issues with steam download times, normally stuff that my internet speeds should have done in minutes would take an hour or more, with the Crucial it's down to taking minutes again.. I honestly couldn't be happier with this product.. If had another slot on my board I'd pick up another and never have to worry about uninstalling and installing games again.. Extremely happy with this purchase..
