This is the first watch I've ever bought myself and was honestly just a small treat to myself after hitting a milestone. Now, it may not be a stupidly expensive, or stupidly flashy watch, however I think that's exactly what makes it so appealing. It doesn't break the bank, but It's still a nice, high quality, clean watch that I love to daily. It's perfect for practically any outfit and you really cant go wrong with the style (though I do have a soft spot for divers). Durability wise, it must be sound as I've worn it daily since July 2025 (current date 29/01/2026) and there isn't so much as a single scratch on the watch. One nit pick is that the knob to change the time is extremely difficult to operate when you're trying to set the date on the watch. setting the time is fine but I've found it difficult to find the click which allows you to change the date. a very small issue which after some time you figure out but is worth mentioning. Overall, I'm a big fan of this watch and for the price you simply can't go wrong if you want a simple, clean, and overall quality watch to daily or start off your collection without breaking the bank. Highly recommend!

One of the true watch bargains in the world! Sounds a touch over the top? Not a bit of it. A superbly well built stainless steel watch, made by one of the most renowned watch manufacturers, Casio. Millions of timepieces are made by this manufacturer, from the £10 digital classic F91W, probably the highest ever selling digital watch, to G Shocks costing in excess of £8000! This dive style watch is rated to 200 metres water resistant, which I have no doubt it will achieve. It has a three year battery, with replacements that can be bought for well under a pound and very easily swapped. The machining of the case is of a standard expected well beyond its price. The case has a screwdown back and crown and the dial is finished to a very high standard with a gorgeous subtle radial texture. Although the stated total dial and bezel size is 44mm, which might sound big, it wears well for most, due to the relatively short lug to lug distance of 49 mm. With classy polished sides and brushed upper case finishes, this watch can be dressed up with a quality classic strap or dressed down with a canvas or silicon curved end band. To finish off, I’ve found that this great dive watch is ultra accurate. I received mine on the 7th October and it’s gained just one second, today, the 16th December……incredible. Incidentally, this watch is known as a dive ‘style’ only due to the fact that to gain full Diver watch qualification means that every single watch produced, has to be tested to ISO 6425 certification. Even Casio can’t sell a watch that costs approx. £50 and still make a profit whilst carrying out these tests. There are many ISO divers out there that will never take the abuse that this little gem can. If you’ve ever had this watch on your shortlist, just buy it, it’s fabulous and it has a great following all over the globe.

As someone who has several high end watches, after a rather expensive repair I wanted a watch I could wear doing any job without the worry of damaging it. The Casio Duro Marlin ticked all the boxes, and with many top reviews on-line it certainly has an excellent reputation. It is also my first quartz watch. Firstly, the photo shows how the watch arrived from Amazon in a torn and bashed box which was rather disappointing. However, saying that it arrived from the US in six days, six days earlier than advertised and for the cheap knock down price of £50, it wasn’t worth sending back for a new one as the watch was undamaged but it is also now more expensive. NOTE - the spec details say the watch has a 20mm band width, this is WRONG it has a 22mm width. I purchased the silver/black version and the watch has a really nice clear face, it feels robust and has a good weight to it and certainly looks more expensive than it is. The screw down Crown feels very good and is easy to use for a hack and the watch is also pretty much silent. The movement is certainly very accurate and in tests over a week it didn’t drop a second. The strap is okay and is also comfortable but not to my tastes, so I soon swapped it for an Archers Black 22mm NATO strap which I think looks much better. Reports of the lume being poor is not the case with mine, and after a charge on going to bed when I woke up at 5:30am I could still read it well. For those with a small wrist you may find the Duro’s 44mm case a bit on the large size, and it is right on the very limit for my smallish size wrist, but it sits well and feels very comfortable. Otherwise no complaints at all and I am very pleased with my purchase, it’s a lot of watch for your money and a great budget buy for a quality made Divers wristwatch. Well done Casio.

The best affordable dive watch money can buy! The rubber strap is a beautiful design, very rugged and in good light the black even sparkles, inside is Casio's very reliable 2784 quartz movement that takes a SR626SW battery if ever you need to replace, the dial has a fantastic sunburst effect and dances in the light and the contrasting colours are gorgeous. Without a doubt my favourite watch that Casio has made and unlike the newer MDV107 this has the iconic marlin in the dial and caseback, the lume is fantastic with a pip at the 12 mark and the rotating bezel has a nice feel to it, screw down crown with hacking movement means you can precisely adjust time, Great value and was also delivered a few days earlier than planned! 10/10

Really well put together watch for the money. Nicely designed, simple uncluttered face. Very accurate, tough and good for every day wear. I would not wear it to go out for dinner, or to a function, but this is not what the watch was intended for. Its an attractive easy to see diver's watch that does what it says on the tin. A truly fit for purpose watch at an astonishing price. What more do you want? It also is far more accurate than a mechanical, and because of its meagre cost you are not going to worry about it too much. Consequently, it will probably end up being your daily wearer leaving any other more expensive alternatives as just plain unnecessary. I find that this Casio has a constant place amongst my luxury and vintage watches and spends far more time on my wrist than any of my much more expensive watches precisely because of its comfort and functionality. One last thing! This watch is remarkably light, despite great construction and good looks and after a few minutes you hardy know you have it on. Always essential in any wristwatch. buy one! This is a very good Casio dive watch at a fantastic price (£37) - I like it very much and if you have any doubts as to wether to get one, don't worry, you won't regret it for a second. I've had a few dive and dive style watches in my collection and have to say this rates as one of the best and at this cost is unbelievable especially considering the quality of the build. To sum it up in 3 words it's affordable, comfortable and accurate. As you can see from the images I've tried it with a few different straps, the original is OK but nothing special and I feel the watch really comes alive with either a leather or coloured rubber one. The face is very clear and easy to read, it's a large piece but doesn't feel like it when you have it on, however the face is easy to read at a glance and the red detail on the second hand is a pleasing feature. The bezel rotates satisfyingly and positions itself well, there is an ever so slight amount of play but for the cost this isn't an issue and it aligns perfectly with the rest of the face. It feels solid and is weighty but not too heavy, certainly not enough to be annoying like some chunkier watches. The Casio is easy to set up, the date is readable but could do with being a touch bigger or perhaps not there at all. Lume-wise, as with a lot of Casio watches it's lacking and does not illuminate strongly or for very long. I've not tested the water resistance but with a screw down caseback and crown it's bound to hold up to the 200m claim. A lovely touch is the Malin fish graphic above the 6 position on the face, it just sets off the watch nicely and is a subtle addition to an otherwise simple timepiece but that's what I love about this watch, it doesn't shout about itself but is nevertheless a classic, nice looking dive watch which I'm very pleased to now own. Buy one now, you won't regret it.

The purchasing process was excellent, the watch arrived 3 early from the States I believe. The watch itself is superb, I've seen review criticising the strap but actually I like it and it's better than many resin/rubber straps I've used before. The face is easily legible and the styling though plain is classic. The second hand alignment with the watchface isn't perfect but I've seen worse on more expensive watches. The case is solid and quite heavy and I expect the watch to be rugged though be aware the crystal is only mineral glass so will scratch though I've seen Youtube showing that sapphire replacements are easy to obtain and with the appropriate equipment or your local friendly watchmaker, easily installed. I may replace the crystal with a sapphire one if it gets badly scratched. I'm very pleased with my purchase, worth every penny. I've already bought a 22mm replacement leather strap though I may only use this occasionally as I like the resin strap and obviously its impervious to water (I often wear my watch in the shower). In short the watch is superb, don't hesitate, buy one you won't regret it. For what it's worth I actually own a 1980's "James Bond" TAG Heuer 1000 dive watch (I bought it new in 1988) and this Casio isn't far behind it in quality and cost far less than the service of my TAG Heuer.

I've had the "Duro" for a few months now so I feel I can give a fair review now. I always wanted one of these legends but like so many was put off for the longest time by the "massive" case diameter. I decided however to finally order one after the amount of reviews online that say not to be out off. For reference I am a 6.5 inch wrist and consider 38mm to be the largest watch I would consider. What can I say though, this watch is simply amazing and deserving of its cult status. The watch wears amazing on a smaller wrist and the quality is top notch for the price. The seconds hand hits every marker exactly and it has very limited bezel play.. Better than my Tag! I recently wore this watch while on a snorkeling holiday to Cyprus, while I never took it deeper than 5 Metres it was totally legible and a pleasure to wear. I settled on a canvas strap, everyone seem to agree to supplied strap isn't the best but at this price you can't complain. I'd happily spend more for a strap then I did on the watch and still consider it a steal. If you'd have told me this watch cost ten times what I paid I wouldn't be surprised it's that good. Delivery from the states was free with Amazon prime and also no important charges, these resell for more on eBay used so it's a no brainer!

Le tout pour un prix serré Elle a mis un peu de temps à arriver des USA, pour cause de délais de dédouanement, mais j'étais informé régulièrement de son statut. Je possède également le modèle identique sans le marlin et donc encore moins chère, que j'avais malheureusement rayé dans une chute de vélo à laquelle mon poigné, lui, n'a pas résisté. D'où ce nouvel achat. Merci Amazon!

TL,DR: Just get it, you know you want to, and she's a real beauty, ooooh yes! :) Thanks to all the other reviewers, company photos help, of course, but personal photos and comments and videos have convinced me progressively and I finally clicked the Buy button when it went on sale :) Oh boy, am I happy! She's beautiful, really beee-u-teee-full! A bit big but not too much, a bit of weight but not too much, superb quality, finish is perfect, brushed and reflective parts are perfect, soooonice! I'm used to 20-25 years ago standards, when watches for men were smaller, my daily driver is a 35 mm (10 to 4), and about 8 mm thick Wenger. This Casio Marlin is about 44 mmm (10 to 4) and about 12 mm thick and I find it perfectly fine and confortable (all approximate measurements here, with a simple ruler aligned with my eyes, not a caliper, but it gives proportions :)) Finish is really impressive, and I'm a sucker for minor defaults :) I really love the reflections, subtle and perfectly regularly done, really above its price category. Not a second early or late in weeks, everything's fine. Easy to adjust, easier if you push straight while using the flanges as support to prevent the hand from moving a bit with the "clic"and not being properly aligned: thanks to the reviewer who gave this hint, it works (and I really *need* hands to be perfectly aligned with markers :)) Original black plastic strap is fine, really, but I just prefer steel bracelet (old habit), so I'm waiting for mine, ordered the same day, but it just moved a bit in China, so it might be a moment before I see it :) Watch delivered a day late, and the enveloppe was flat and the box was a bit crushed, not enough to damage the watch, but not good for a present... OK for me... as the present was from me to me! :) For the slight delay, Amazon automatically credited approximately the same amount as the delivery fees, without any action from me, so no complaint here :) Really, if you've done your homework, you've seen all the Amazon and YouTube reviews, and you *know* you have to get one... just do it, you won't regret it! Even better if you can catch a promo price :) It's all you've seen and heard, and even a bit more when you open the package, you'll feel the "Ooooh... woooow, yeeeees" inside :) I still feel it every day, as I put it on display where I can glance at her discretely anytime I'm in the sofa (don't tell my girlfriend!) Casio duro, o per meglio dire MDV106-1AV è un diver proposto dalla famossissima casa giapponese che tutti noi, almeno una volta, abbiamo sentito rammentare. Questo prodotto, come altri della medesima marca sono noti soprattutto per lo strepitoso rapporto tra qualità e prezzo. Infatti ad un costo di poco meno di 80 euro è possibile mettere mano su un orologio molto affidabile ma soprattutto molto piacevole alla vista date le linee semplici che richiamano orologio molto più blasonati. Questo aspetto rende certamente adatto questo orologio a chi, come noi ragazzi, non vuole spendere molto ma comunque desidera un orologio di grande qualità che non passerà certamente inosservato. Dal punto di vista delle caratteristiche tecniche c’è poco da dire, un movimento al quarzo, molto preciso e performante, che offre la complicazione del datario ad ore 3. L’impermeabilità è un punto forte dell’orologio, infatti come si può leggere dal quadrante, può resistere, o almeno è progettato per farlo, fino ad una profondità pari a 20 bar o 200 metri anche grazie alla corona a vite che garantisce una minor possibiltà di infiltrazione di liquidi. Il tutto costruito con acciaio INOX che assicura, grazie alla presenza del cromo, la formazione di uno strato protettivo molto sottile che protegge il metallo e quindi tutto l’orologio dall'azione dell'ossigeno e degli agenti chimici esterni. Le dimensioni sono importanti infatti abbiamo tra le mani un orologio con diametro pari a 44 mm , uno spessore di 12 con una larghezza del cinturino di 20 mm il tutto con un peso di circa 82. Altra caratteristica riguarda la chiarezza e leggibilità degli indici e delle sfere sul quadrante attraverso vetro minerale. Sempre in relazione alla leggibilità troviamo sfere ed indici ricoperti con materiale fluorescente che permette la visibilità anche in ambienti privi, o parzialmente privi, di fonti di luce. La ghiera unidirezionale nera è leggermente dura ma comunque di buona qualità e presenta un indice ad ore 12 fatto anchesso di materiale visibile al buio. In dotazione è presenta un cinturino diver in resina di colore nero con fibbia satinata di media qualità ed uno stand per il supporto dell’orologio quando non lo si indossa. In conclusione si può affermare che l’oggetto in questione è certamente di ottima qualità se guardiamo il prezzo che lo rende certamente uno dei migliori diver economici di sempre.

Also, zunächst mal trage ich diese Uhr jetzt genau einen Tag, was eigentlich zu früh ist um eine Rezension abzugeben, aber ... durch mittlerweile 5 Uhren von Casio in meinem Leben wurde ich zum Casio-Fan und diese Uhr ist für den Preis super verarbeitet. Ich hatte eine MRW... irgendwas etwa 2 Jahre lang, bis das Plastikarmand gerissen ist und diese Uhr ging um exakt 18 Euro 2 Jahre lang fast auf die Sekunde genau und war absolut wasserdicht - das soll mal einer nachmachen um den Preis! Dann hatte ich eine G-Shock, auch die war sehr genau - es störte mich nur die umständliche Fummelei bei Sommer/Winterzeit-Umstellung und die 100 Funktionen von Weltzeit/Alarm/Stoppfunktionen, ... die eingentlich einen Computer zum Einstellen erfordern würden. Mein Traum war aber immer eine Uhr im Styling einer Rolex, weil ich das Styling einfach geil finde. Die Duro hat ein ziemlich ähnliches Styling, nur dass sie grösser und erwachsener ist als eine Rolex. 45 mm sind das was so eine Uhr haben sollte um nicht mickrig auszusehen, aber auch nicht protzig. Ich habe schlanke Handgelenke und sie passt perfekt. Ich hatte davor eine Orient Mako - auch eine sehr schöne Uhr, aber die war einfach zu klein. Die Duro betont eine Männerhand ohne übertrieben gross zu wirken. Die ist gerade richtig. Das Styling ist unauffällig und sehr leicht abzulesen. Unnötigen Schnickschnack gibt es nicht. Die Zeit und das Datum stelle ich auf Anhieb schneller ein als ich bei einer G-Shock eine Gebrauchsanleitung gefunden habe. Das Ganze gibts um 65 Euro!! Und das ist nur deswegen so teuer, weil der Zoll soviel kostet bei uns! In Amerika gibts den Wecker um 35 Dollar. Man könnte nun sagen: "was nichts kostet ist auch nichts wer", aber schon die Casio MRW um 18 Euro hat mir das Gegenteil bewiesen. Deshalb bin ich ziemlich sicher dass auch diese Uhr 2 Jahre lang absolut genau gehen wird, keine Kratzer einfangen wird und absolut wasserdicht sein wird. Casio ist einfach vom Preis-Leistungverhältnis her das Beste was es gibt. Das Gummiband ist okay für eine Taucheruhr und es trägt sich auch angenehm, trotzdem werde ich es gegen ein Zulu-Lederband tauschen, weil das die uhr nochmal aufwertet. Im Ernst - für die Leute, welche sich detaillierte Informationen erwarten: warum kauft man heutzutage überhaupt eine Uhr? In Zeiten wo du am Handy jederzeit die Zeit ablesen kannst? Ich behaupte man kauft sie als Schmuckstück, und zwar als wertiges Schmuckstück und als treuen Wegbegleiter über viele Jahre. Sie soll robust sein, weil man sie nicht bei jeder kleinen Arbeit und bei jedem Duschvorgang ablegen will und sie soll die eigene Persönlichkeit unterstreichen. Letzeres ist leicht, denn die Persönlichkeit kann man manchmal schon mit ausgefallenen Billigprodukten aus China unterstreichen, aber für die "Beziehung" und das Vertrauen in eine Uhr braucht es eine Marke. Wer 10000 im Monat verdient macht das mit Rolex oder Breitling. Kleine Leute wie ich machen es mit Casio - und stehen dazu - denn es geht nicht um Geld oder Prestige, sondern um Vertrauen und Casio hat mich nie enttäuscht.
