It's odd and we take it for granted but the standard two separate hot and cold tap system we take for granted in the UK is laughed at in the rest of Europe (and probably further afield too). They think it's ridiculous that we have to juggle water temperature with two separate taps, one too hot and one too cold, to get the temperature right. It is a bit silly when you think about it, as a mixed tap is fat more convenient, but the system goes back to when hot water would be coming from a boiler and cold water direct from the mains, and it became a tradition we've stuck with ever since, and it's only fairly recently that mixer taps like this are becoming the norm.We are currently in the (extremely boring) process of moving house, and one thing my wife and I decided on was we wanted the new kitchen to have a mixer tap with a pull down spray attachment type nozzel - our friends have one in their kitchen and it's an absolute godsend when it comes to cleaning pots and pans as it makes like so much easier.. This one seemed to fit the bill at a fraction of the price at the local plumb centre.It arrives well packed in high density foam, and loads lovely in the flesh (or rather in the metal), if slightly bigger in real life than I had imagined (it's quite imposing as it is fairly tall). There's a well written illustrated instruction manual (in good English, not badly translated Chinese which is always a huge sigh of relief!) which makes fitting look very simple even for a DIY dunce like myself as there's plenty of pictures and even a list of what you will need to carry out fitting it - however one of our best mates is a plumber so I'll be calling on him if I hit any trouble. We don't have our completion ate for the house move yet, so I'm not able to fit it for a couple of weeks at the very least, but I'll try and remember to update this with some photos in-situ in our new house. It really does look good, at least to our eyes and will be infinity better than the monstrosity it'll be replacing.In conclusion then I'm very happy with this - it looks great, nice and sleek and modern, and it feels a quality, heavy wight item that I'm hoping will last us for years now.

I took down the old tap and fit the new one. Not difficult, but if you don't have some previous experience in it, better use a proffesional plumber.Because of the sink shape, i couldn't fit on the base of the tap, so i let it without the base. But even that, is fitting well and hold very strong and the most important working well. No leeks.To pull out the hose, you simply click the button (from the back) and it releases it.Has 3 modes of working: the normal shower, the rain and the spraying one. Very usefull in different ocasions and different things to wash and clean.
