Fallen Fruits DIY Insect Hotel, KG153, Green, 9.75"H

I bought this kit to provide me and my son an activity to do. It took about an hour to do.Sure you could make one yourself but the kit makes it convenient, and you pay for it. As other reviewers have said, the little hammer that is included will prove useful in the future I’m sure. I’d imagine children 10 and above would be able to have a good go a doing it themselves. It kept my 5 year old entertained as we did it together.

Our eight year old had great fun putting this together ( with just a little bit of help from an adult... simply helping hold bits together whilst he used the hammer), great quality little hammer kept for future projects in his own tool box... Everything in picture supplied.. very sturdy/thick wood so expect to last a few years. Very happy and highly recommend.

Brought for my nan for her 95th birthday!She loved it and even painted it afterwards.Everything is supplied (even a mini hammer to nans delight!) its so cute.I’m really impressed with the strength of the wood as it took some effort to do.The only difficult part was the roof which needed 2 people (one to hold the pieces together and one to hammer the nails) but other than that a 95 year old managed on her own with no previous wood working skills.

This is quite a good kit, though I've dropped a star as the instructions could be clearer regarding the different types of tacks / pins.The kit comes with a decent child sized hammer, which worked perfectly for my two and five year olds who enjoyed doing "grown up making". It's pretty solid once it's together, and has resulted in regular trips outside to see what insects have moved into it. Overall, it's a good kit and has entertained and interested the kids beyond the initial putting together.

What a lovely little project to do on a rainy afternoon. Quality is excellent and my 5 year old son loved building it. Now has pride of place on our garden wall.

Seems very sturdy, quite easy to assemble. 3 grandsons aged 6, 8 and 10 with a little help from grandad soon had it made and are just waiting for the bugs to move in.

Insect hotel kits are just perfect for our ECO project, our children will have great fun building these, delivery was speedy, I highly recommend this company.
