im so pleasantly surpriseddd bc i am an avid matcha lover since forever, since b4 the matcha blow up.. but ive always struggled w making my matcha lattes taste like the ones at cafes + its hard bc ive heard most amazon matchas r kinda ehhh and i was too broke to order abroad w/ the shipping prices at the moment :’) but michelle on youtube recommended this one and she was sooo right for doing so !!!! amazing taste, color, and smoothness esp for the price and how quickly it came. definitely one of the more earthier umami tastes if ur looking for that! highly recommend :D

Incredibly bold, with a rich, smoky flavor that truly impresses. Beautiful, vibrant green. It's easy to create microfoam, and I tested it with a Matcha latte, which left me really impressed after tasting. High quality at a reasonable price don't miss out on this exciting experience!

I'm new to drinking matcha at home, so this was only the second one I've ever tried. It's much better than the overpriced organic matcha I tried before it - at sale price, the Kiyo Wakyo has roughly the same cost per ounce, and at full price, it's ~35% more expensive per ounce). The color is a lovely bright green, and there is a strong aroma of roasted nori. It's creamy and smooth, grassy (but not terribly so) and somewhat nutty, with a slight bitterness and almost no astringency. It foams up quite easily, but it also clumps easily, even after sifting - there were little nuggets of matcha powder at the bottom of my chawan that adding more hot water couldn't disperse. So it's smooth until you get to the bottom, where it becomes a bit grainy. That's the one advantage the other matcha has over this one, it never clumped, and it dissolved a bit more readily. I may look for something more affordable to make lattes with, but for usucha and koicha drinking, Wakyo is great. One other thing, the matcha comes sealed in a bag inside the canister. The powder sticks to the bag, especially in the corners. The other matcha I tried did not come in a bag. I suppose the bag is a good thing, maybe the other matcha wasn't fresh? (I don't remember if it was sealed or wrapped in plastic in anyway.) But I do feel bad about how much gets wasted because of the bag.

New to making iced Matcha latte at home. Learned on YouTube. This matcha Kiyo wakyo powder was highly recommended and did not disappoint. It was so smooth and I used only 2 grams (1 tsp). It was easy to sift and whisk and pour over ice ball (to keep from becoming too watery) over about half cup of whole milk and tsp of honey. If you want delicious, not bitter, buttery smooth iced matcha latte this powder is for you!

Good quality matcha with great quality and flavor.

Taste is rich, creamy, and hint of bitter but not too bitter. I love the Uji blend. Quality is very good.
