Seasonic FOCUS Plus Platinum 550W (80+Platinum, ATX 12V) PSU/Power Supply - Black

I had this drive upgrading from a cheap >£20 Chinese power supply I had before because I wanted to be sure I won't one day fry my computer parts and I also wanted the modularity so I can reduce cable clutter in my new case. This does both of the above. The 10 year warranty makes me confident that Seasonic really are sure about this power supply, and it's done me well so far. Not heard anything bad about this company from anyone else either.

Haven't been able to finish the build using this PSU yet, I've found the build quality to be great and a lot of care has been taken with the packaging and cables using a hard cardboard box and cloth bags.I am however quite disappointed that the power cable that came with the PSU was in fact a European plug and not a UK plug, I know its only around £5 to buy a new one but its still a price I was anticipating, I assumed that because it was being sent from the UK to the UK it would be packed with a UK plug. I feel like the plug type needs to be specified in the product description.Ill probably post an updated review once I actually get it running.

Used in a computer build for a client. This is my sixth Seasonic PSU - four for client builds, one for myself, and this most recent purchase - and none of them have given me any issues since install, all running for one or two years. Nearly silent, high quality construction (at least, on the outside - I have yet to open one), braided cables are great. Honestly, I've had some infuriating case builds, and these cables, while firm, bend securely and I have no concerns on them fraying, breaking, splitting, or otherwise. I'm in love with Seasonic units, and have no plans to use anything otherwise.If I may inject some personal opinion, this unit comes with "10 year warranty" plastered on the box. I can't find a single other company to warranty for that incredibly long. To me, a company that gives that long of a warranty has deep faith in their parts.

Perfect fit! Very quiet even when the fan's at full speed

My old PSU fan was noisy intermittently, especially after waking up from sleep mode. My research led me to believe Seasonic is a reputable brand, particularly having 10 years warranty on this model. I like the idea of the hybrid function because the fan should last a lot longer than the 7 years of my old unit, since it doesn't run all the time.

Très silencieuse en mode hybride vu que le ventilateur ne ce d’éclanche qu'a partir de 30% de charge, et même le ventilateur à l’arrêt l'alimentation ne chauffe pas du tout.

Hab mir das Netzteil nur gekauft, weil es im Angebot war ~80€ und mein Enermax Modu87 80+ Gold 500W auch ca 9 Jahre alt ist (funktioniert aber noch immer 1A.)Einziger Nachteil sind die etwas steifen Kabel und was auch noch ist, ist das bei meinem Mainbaord Asus Maximus Ranger VII der zusätzliche CPU Anschluss am Mainboard mit den Steckerpins nicht übereinstimmt. Lässt sich aber trotzdem einstecken, da die abgerundete Steckerunterseite auch in das Quadratische vom Mainboard passt. Hoffe das ist verständlich, was ich damit meine :) Siehe Foto (Die rot markierten Anschlüsse sind am Mainboard Quadratisch)
