Nutrition packed lotus seeds for healthy living
I am into healthy living, so types of food for intaking become critical. Lotus seeds have been long known as a power house of nutrients, so I grabbed one when I see it. It arrived well packaged in a vacuumed, resealable bag. When opened, the aroma feels pleasant and more importantly, fresh. The bag also has a best-to-use date of July 29, 2027, which is awesome. The dried lotus seeds are well prepared and appeared fairly uniform in size. They have been de-cored, mostly, although I have noticed a few still have the embryos intact. Now, the embryos themselves are actually beneficial too, and some like to cook them all together. However, the embryos do have a bitter taste, so many prefer to take the embryos out before consuming. It appears the de-coring is largely done well, except a few, which can be easily cleaned out when cooking. Lotus seeds are extremely low calories, and that is an awesome news for someone who wants to watch weight. For this bag of 300 grams of lotus seeds, it only contains 349 calories in total. Now, that is amazing. Lotus seeds are also known to boost heart health, promote sleep, reduce blood sugar, and assist in weight management. On top of those, it is also packed with abundant antioxidants, which is good for skins and anti-aging. It can be easily prepared and is very versatile in use. One can mix them with a variety of different ingredients when cooked (salad, soup, rice - you name it). All in - this bag of lotus seeds are fresh, high quality, and will help enhance my health. That is a lot to like!
