Arrow to the Sun: A Pueblo Indian Tale

I have been trying to remember this book from my childhood for many years now. When I finally figured out the title I was surprised to find it is still available! This has beautiful artwork and an interesting story. I'm very happy to have this back in my book collection.

My kids love Gerald McDermott books and we didn't have this one in our collection. It's a beautiful paperback with vibrant illustrations! My kids and I love it.

i'm still madly in love with this little book. the small, soft cover is really nice still, and it made for a good gift :)

This was a favorite when I was in elementary school and I’m excited to share it with my children

i remember reading this book when i was younger and hearing about it on reading rainbow. so i bought this for my girl Kendra; about a boy who goes through trials to "prove" his self worth and it's done through an indian themed story i believe. the pictures are colorful and fun to look at...hehehe it's a jpeg style drawing which i like.

I checked this book out in kindergarten and my kids did the same and loved it like I did so I bought one.

My favourite book

I saw this book the first time when I was in about the fourth grade. I was very impressed back then with the beauty of it. Now I'm an English teacher and I have all of my students read it. It's as beautiful of a book as you could ever hope to find and it's very interesting to see a story from another culture that is so similar to the story of Christ. It's very surprising and I am enjoying it more now than when I was a child.

小さいころに読んだ記憶が。。。もう一度、持ってみて子供たちに読んでやりたいと、購入しました。 父親がいないがためにいじめられる、そして父親を探すたびに出かける、黄色とオレンジ色だけの世界から、旅立ち虹色を持つ“太陽”という父親の元へ。。。ストリーも、本のモザイクのような絵も色も。。。 大人も子供も、自分自身の強さ、輝きを見直すことができるすばらしい本です。
